Thread: How do you hit and run in a cave or a corvette?

I was in the corvette last night and saw battling in the armory, against some named rebels, a sbd, and a commodore. I then though about the CU and how would i be able to hit and run. If hit and run is our new fighting style, how can it be achieved in tight quarter spaces?

Yeah, right now there is no answer. But its something to keep in mind in testing. The Droid Engineers cave may be a good place totest when Beta goes to the Master Professions.

I don't think it's going to be the only way we can fight, especially if you take some skills from other proffesions. Tight spaces will probably be one of the weaknesses of fencer.

Actually I disagree, tight spaces will be our friend, if we have a back door or cover... one thing I did notice is that Line of Sight really means Line of Sight in the CU... no fireing through hills or rocks... or through doors. So alot of hit and run tactics can actually apply... like ducking into a ditch when a rifleman takes a pot shot at ya.

See I'm drifting back into the "old way of thinking" again, forgetting alot more people will be playing ranged proffesions competetively post CU

I think you also should keep in mind that with the CU doing something like the corvette would require a very balanced group of players, and as fencers chances are we would not be the ones getting beat on.

forgive the fantasy comparison here from another game,

picture a rogue from WoW for whomever has played them

lots of burst damage and light defense, a great application of hit and run in the fact that if a tank is holding agro there is still the hit but not the run part needed

in SWG terms this could mean the TKM is holding the mob with its abilities, a healer of some sort working the heals, a fencer would fit in nicley to do damage.

granted people can say all they want this should not be WoW and i agree it should still have group dynamics and needs and WoW does that right so why not use a similar system

And DE-10 here, he's the shepherd protecting my righteous a55 in the valley of darkness. Or it could be you're the righteous man and I'm the shepherd and it's the world that's evil and selfish. I'd like that. But that ain't the truth. The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin'. I'm tryin' real hard to be a shepherd.
