Has blind any effect?

A blinded foe hits with the same damage, he hits not less, he misses not more often, and he gets the same damage, as far as I can appraise this.

Do I miss something, or can I drop this style from my toolbar?

blind drops your accuracy, but I'm not sure of the numbers. It may also drop your active defenses like dodge or counterattack, but I don't know for sure. Do not drop it from your bar though, blind works great against those NPCs and mobs with 4000+ health

Yeah...I haven't been able to decipher what blind is good for..the only reason it's in my toolbar is it does some pretty decent damage at semi-low HAM cost, for me at least

I haven't done any PvP so I can't speak for it's value there. I have been using it recently against creatures and I haven't noticed it doing much. I know if a creature blinds me I'm very reduced in combat ability but I don't see nearly that huge of a drop when I apply it to a creature, actually, I don't see any decline at all. I've been fighting rogue falumpasets lately since I live on Naboo and need herbivore meat for some advanced medical components. Since they tend to respawn wherever you find and kill them you can usually string together a few fights if you rest a bit between, so I did this for the meat and to test my new enhances, armor, and blind hit. Enhances and armor kick tail, wouldn't survive against a rogue falumpaset without one or the other, it's easy with both. But blind didn't seem to have any affect, I didn't notice any increase in it missing or me hitting more often. On several occassions I had a one ton+ blind andbleeding falumpaset dodge and counterattack several times during the duration of a single blind hit. At least dodge is working for the creatures, though how I could miss a falumpaset is beyond me. Anyway, either player blind is weaker than mob blind or those darn falumpasets have some really good to-hit rolls.

Blind reduces accuracy and weakens their defense. If a creature has high enough accuracy a reduce wont make him miss often enough. However at about even con blind causes creature to miss alot more often or at least in my trials. Also it adds about 10% damage to your strikes due to the enemies weakened defensive state. Its not enough that you see a great deal of variant of your normal shots but if you keep track of the numbers its is quite obvious it is there. For these reasons i always lead with blind on creatures and is my thirdhit on humanoids(dizzy lunge blind)It certainly doesnt hurt to use it andif the dice roll right it can be a big help.I know for sure of several incaps that it got me out of.

Good tactics here:

PvE: Bleed, blind, dizzy, special spam or normal attacks

PvP Dizzy, lunge, blind, bleed, special spam ( make this into a macro, and if you can get it off fast enough chances are you can get those kiting marksman, dont forget /follow)
