Fellow Fencers~


I have some good news for you ! I know we have several issues that we are facing as Fencers, but here is something that should help out. Read and enjoy.






This impacts almost all ofthe combat professions: Now when you knockdown a creature or NPC, they'll stay down for a couple of seconds. If they are dizzy, they'll probably fall down again trying to stand back up (and will stay down for a couple more seconds).


This will be on TC soon if it isn't already, and will bein the next publish. Enjoy.

Being able to put our Dizzy-Lunge combo's back on our toolbars will bea welcome improvement. This isn't a huge miracle change, but it IS an improvement. Let's give the Dev's a chance... they really seem interested in improving the gameplay for us

It's going towards all combat classes buddy. So you can count yourself into that little lucky sect as well. They can't change dizzy so its only effecting one class.

And besides, they're not fixing it for fencer (While we still get the fix though, as do otheres), they're fixing it for BH.

I doesn't matter who they are fixing it for. An improvement is nothing more and nothing less.


Besides the BH is going to need something after they nerf eyeshot. I swear thats the only move a BH knows how to use. At least as a fencer, I mix it up.

Yeah, and its a shame that even when we do this, we can't beat and eyeshot spammer.

haha.. I agree to an extent...


kite + eyeshot = dead fencer


The part where I disagree is that combat is more than spamming, or at least it should be. It requires skill and fast thinking. I for one am and will be well practiced in these areas. So when our prefessions come into balance, AND they will, I will have a very distinct advantage. At least for a while.


Combat spammers beware.. =)

I never disagreed with that, didn't even mention it. =)

In fact, its quite the opposite, I feel the same as you. I played a master smuggler/pistoleer before the pistol nerf, when i changed to commando. Before that though, I had to mix my combat up greatly, I even trained two skills into TKA, so after I got the guy bleeding and last ditched a bit, I'd lay on KD (and if panic shot wasn't broken, I'd have used that), then burst run in, and finish off with the TKA body hit. Yeah, I could have spammed KD, but it wasn't quite as fun.

yeah I spam knockdown and supression fire when I get eyeshot'ed till he goes down, I go over, health hit2 him twice, blind2, then scatterhit2 (which actually works half the time...) and I can usually get him b4 he gets me or atleast DBs me... This is with a a mk3 with 56% and composite helm with 79 kentic...

hehe, Miracle Max quote.

It'll be interesting if a "Princess Bride" guild pops up in a server... my non-original name in Wanderhome is Inigo Montoya, I go around spewing lines like "would you by any chance happen to have six fingers on your right hand?" I used to have vendors named "Miracle Max" selling Stims, "Buttercup" selling food, and "Humperdink" selling spices... back in the days I was a Merchant. hehehe Have pets named ROUS (a desert rat), Fesik (forgot what pet it was), Dread Pirate Roberts (a beetle)... yeah not much for originality... but hey, I carry my Swordsman title with pride. =)

and again... change that font color =/ it does my eye no good. ^_^
