Thread: CoB Changed?

It seemed to me that with the patch the other day, the duration of CoB was noticeably less than before. There were no other factors to explain it. I can't quantify the time difference, but in my mind it seemed like 25% to 30% or more.

I'm master fencer, and I'd grown so used to the duration of CoB that I knew when it was time to re-apply without even waiting for the spam on the screen. Yesterday, I was completely out of sync with move sequences because it kept dropping sooner than I expected.

I hope it hasn't lost duration or effectiveness.

Does anyone have any insights?

no, duratoin has not been changed, if you wanna time your CoB duration, there is a time-stamp function that you can turn on in your option window, it will time-stamp every line in your log box.

btw, i have setup a macro a CoB every 32 seconds, yes, i know CoB duration is 31 seconds in Blademaster, but due to lag and and stuff, i found 32 seconds is the best. just remember to type /dump after battle.

It was only lasting 19 to 20 seconds on Saturday on Valcyn, based on the timestamps. I was fighting kimogilas onLok.Yes, I'm master. I'll do some tests today. If it was more than a glitch on Saturday, others would surely have noticed it by now. I'm pretty confident that it will be back to its proper duration for me today.

how do specials work with COB?Will the use of one negate the effects of COB?

I have noticed a drop in CoB time as well... will have to actually check logs but I noticed that every once in awhile it drops sooner than it should over the past few days like the timer gets glitched.

Last night vs pirates on Lok, CoB was working proplerly... duration was fine.

So, I don't know if it was just a glitch on Saturday, or all that spice has finally taken its tool. I know what I saw timestamped in the combat log though.

I noticed a change as well last night first time I timed it (I'm a master fencer) it lasted 8 secs. Second time I tried it lasted 22 secs grrr.

I am that same problem. I'm a blademaster also ans my CoB duration has be cut down to 20sec. What the hells up with that. Also it doesn't seem to be as effective. Think it was a stealth nerf?

CoB has not been changed. Unless some dev magically changed my macro that automatically recycled my CoB for me, which I doubt. I have noticed no difference and I surely would notice if my center didn't recyle right after it wore off.

Yes, you surely would... just like we surely did. Our eyes are no worse than yoursmy friend. Something has happened on occasion to a few of us so far. But since that one battle for me where it happened twice in a row, it has not taken place since. So, there may be some rare sequence of events, or just a random glitch that can cause this. It is rare though, so it makes sense to me that most haven't encountered it at all. That doesn't mean it isn't real.
