Thread: Soloed my first Rancor! YAY!!...a problem though....
as i said i soloed my first rancor like one thursday
i had composite helm, bracers, gloves, biceps, and boots, and mabari chest and legs.
i was on muon gold. so my mind was like 1300
it took me a while and he diseased my health like right off so i had to constantly stim myself. then it said 'you have sustained more disease' and i noticed that my mind began dropping slightly. i had been using my stun baton (mind cost like 60) so i switched to my gaffi and my mind stayed around 800ish. then just as he was almost beaten i got 849 mind wounds. just like that /snaps fingers. he started running away pretty soon after that so ifinished him off with my DX2.
so anyways......has anyone had that happen to them? all the sudden get massive mind wounds?
i have had this happen with my health, it seems like mine drops after getting buffed and wears off
yeah that wound thing happens sometimes from DOT's....although it happened to my action instead and it was a kimo on lok that did it. He deseased me and on the first disease tick, I got 900 mind wounds....well officially 899 since 900 is my max action pool and I was left with 1 point. Good thing I can make camps and can heal my own wounds for like 120 each use. I don't have to worry about bleeds though, since I have firstaid so I can heal my own bleeds too.....this is why I always tell people that medic skills is essential to any combat class. It will minimize the down time and need to search for a medic or doctor.
THis is why I hast to get too close to anything...seems like the higher level creatures do very potent diseases, bleeds and poisons so you have to watch out for this and wear any resist type clothing, rings, necklaces, gloves...etc.
i also ate a muon gold and some food. the only thing that was weird is that after i killed the rancor's the disease incompacitated me. but when i was incapped the disease went away and i healed myself in town.
dunno whats ups with the mind thing. keep me informed

when you adjust your bars, the display can't quite do math correctly. in fact, when i am buffed, or on fishak, my bar stays full until i have about 500 mind damage. the same will go for wounds. i'll have no black until the fishak wears off. then they seem to appear out of nowhere.
your character sheet should display the correct numbers, etc.

By the time everything popped I had 3 enraged rancors, one young rancor and a normal rancor on me. I managed to kill all 3 enraged and the yougn rancor and had the other rancor at 25% before they bleed me to death could ahve lived but i want paying attention to my health and forgot to heal with my stims.
lol i had the exact same thing happen to me last night almost, but i had 3 enraged, 3 normal and 2 youths.
