I haven't been on the forums in a while, but asI am checking them out, its depressing. They are making jedi much more attainable, THAT will be annoying. Removing perma-death. Nerfing fencer and pistoleer when there are other professions ten times better than that, ESPECIALLY SINCE THE DODGE THING CAN BE REMOVED BY INTIMIDATING SOMEONE. And heres the bleed thing. Does that mean I might as well drop novice pistoleer for the four bleeds from the both of them?

Beyond that, it gets tricky. We are in the middle of doing a combat rebalance so the choices of what hybrid professions you are thinking about will effect your defense modifiers. Under the hood, SWG works very much like a PnP game. People choose professions, weapons, species and a bunch of other choices, and combat calculates all of those details during combat. You go into combat and the system makes your "to hit" rolls, your defense and "saving throw" rolls and counts it all up.


The tricky part is that currently, defense mods stack. This will change because there are some min-maxers out there who have really learned how to stack these defenses well and it confuses the issue

Bleed is not the only thing we may have to worry about, according to thunderhearts latets responce. Me as i know allot of fencers, are mixers. We mix and match allot of other perfessions to help out our fencer perfession, like the game was orginally intended to do. I hope that i miss read TH's post cause i have finally finished my charector and it took allot of work to get ihm to where he is, as i know allot of us fencers have had to. So i hope that the stacking of defenses are not nerfd.

This game sucks more and more with each publish. I grinded out the unarmed XP and combat XP to get the precision striking tree in TK for the defenses. Why did they bother to give us 250 skill points ?? If they didn't want people to dabble in other professions, they should have just made you pick a profession and that's what you are. It seems that's the way they want it anyway. I SO cannot wait for World of Warcraft to come out, this game baffles me on a weekly basis

If these nerfs are as bad as they keep sounding with nothing good being put in I may just quit the one game I thought I would play for the end of time

It's not so bad. I dish out so much damage without bleeds. For me, bleeds are insurance plans.


Anyways, each person can put 1 bleed. So if you have 5 people, you can bleed 5 times. What's the evil in that? I am sure Commandoes are complaining now. (no more soloing Krayt for them now)


Besides, Bleed2 should give you 800-1200 per tick. That is pretty awesome in PvE. I care less about bleeding in PvP though. I mean you can use stim packs right? You should get Lunge2/Intim2/Warcry2.

The real stupidity of this is thatboth of our bleeds combined don't add up to one rifleman's bleed, and our are to a healable and usually buffed pool, where theirs are to an unhealable and usually unbuffed pool. It gets even more silly if you compare the DoT of our bleeds to that of a commando's flamethrower. They only need one, so they are unaffected by this. So, really, why do this? It just widens the gulf between the overpowered and the rest of the pack. Is that the intent? Well... what other intent is one to divine from this?

Now, all DoT's are kind of silly right now in that they are just too automatic. This is especially true of MOB's and NPC's who've had their accuracy and damagecranked up to astronomical levels to nerf soloists and encourage grouping. Poison, disease and bleed application is almost instantaneous now and multiple applications are the norm. Granted, a lot of this is caused by the transition from one combat system to another, but they don't seem to be moving in the right direction. In fact, they seem to be changing direction in mid stream.


It is silly that a non A/P weapon can put bleeds on heavy armor targets. It is silly that a guy can put mind poison onto an AT/ST. It is silly that someone who doesn't have the accuracy to hit a fencer with any of their other specials can still land their bleeds 100% of the time. That is our current state. I'm just hoping it won't be our future state as well.

I have no problem with the bleed nerf, i think it will make things more intereting. I m just oncernd about thunderhearts refrense to changing the defense stacking, which i and others have worked up and mixed perfessions very well becouse of this. Defense to KD, dizzy, meele defense range defense and all the other ones that are able to stack. He says its not fare.... how is it not fair ? when its what was meant to be done inthe begginign with mixing perfessions, like pistoleer and fencer, carbineer and pikeman, and swordsmen adn rifle man.


Im not sure what he exactly meant in his post becouse it was to vague on the defeses part, im just hoping that it was a mis write or something.
