I personally wouldn't give up MB and TK Med for any carbiner, I'd also ignore the FS Speed line unless you are going Jedi in the future or plan on shifting to Swordsman down the line.

My build currently is...

Master Fencer, Master Swordsman, Master Brawler, TK 4004 (haven't gotten around to picking up the xp for 4304), though I've been thinking about dropping two points somewhere for enough for Novice Medic, since I still have a crate of 20 Stim B's that are doing nothing in my inventory.

Of course if I got FS Ranged Defense I'd drop a couple TK Precision and that would open up enough for Novice Medic.

Ok, can someone please clarify something for me. I am currently working toward

Master Brawler

Master Fencer

Master Swords

TKA 4/0/0/3

Novice medic


My question is:


I only PvE and rarely duel. Is it better to load on melee & ranged defense or state defense.

I have read that one or the other is usless in PvP or PvE. So which should a PvE character focus on?


Any advice or insight is appreciated. Thank you.

Master fencer
Master TKA
Pistols 0-0-4-0
Scout 1-0-0-0
Novice medic

I get terrain nogiation, Stim Bs , Heavy defence, Good offiance.
Leaves 0 points. Very solid IMO. Let me know What you think.

Master fencer/Swords/Brawler. ya... same as everyone else but with a twist. heh... rodian. another 10 to accuracy to both 1h and 2h. Its nice. the other part of my template is... well lol it goes in another thread


oh and 2040 in medic for using stim d's and healing those nasty Nightsister bleeds

my template is whats in my sig


master swordsman/master fencer/master brawler/ 4-0-0-2 tka and i did have 1-0-0-0 medic but i had to drop it for fs melee speed tree's


my template sets me at cap for melee defense, plenty of kd defense. tk wound healing, strong dodge , the sexyness of swordsman, intimidate/warcry 2 and lunge 2 (20m ranged kd) all i take usually is 2 brandy, 1 ahrisa (unless im fighting a rifleman or swordsman, then ill take 2) and synsteak. sometimes aircake or some type of kd food depending on who im fighting.



True story im bringin the team back, even Roy Jones was forced to lean back
mastered: scout/ranger/squadleader/marksman/swordsman/brawler/fencer/tka/
current template: Master Swordsman/ Master Brawler/ Master Fencer/ 4-0-0-1 tka +12 fs melee speed. speed capped 2 hand goodness.

I wouldnt do it unless you dont PvP.... I think Master Brawler is better for PvE but the KD and Pos Stats are much more needed for PvP. Get FD from the smuggler tree if you want to spend the points.

I'm presently working on a Master Fencer template. I haven't played in about a year so i'm in the process of building/re-building my old old character.


Presently my character looks like this:


Fencer 3210 (going to be Master)

Pistoleer 4000(was gradually moving this to 0040)

TKA 4004 (was going to be 4404)


Prereqs in Brawler and Marksman as well as:


Medic 2000

Scout 3000


With Fencing as it is presently and probably will be in the foreseeable futureI'm looking for a character plan that can play the higher end content fairly well. I've seen a lot of people talking about 2hand Swords as the good skill set. I'm not sure I want to work up that tree from the present character. If I drop Pistoleer and Marksman and Master TKA will i be able to do enough damage with that class to fill in a damage role as well as switch to fencing when appropriate? At the moment my only desire for this character is Master Fencing and to not be useless.

Medic 2000 \ These are important for me because i want the terrain negotiation and some healing abilities

How would a TKM/Master Fencer/Master Swordman be in-game? (PvE mainly)


I understand and feel that I need atleast Novice Medic, but I am not sure what skills I should drop for it.

I had an idea after some talking with my guild and it ended in a template as: TKM/Master Swordman/Fencer 4-4-4-0/Medic 2-0-0-0.


After I read this thread I have gone to lower the Fencer to lower the TKA Skills, so I am very dizzled now. Any help would be grateful!

what is the best way to cut though people who have doctor/mind buffs adv composite, shield gen, and food/drinks ?


DoT's would be a good start i think, so im thinking of going pikeman 0040


Swordsman can get some good mind attacks, so im thinking swordsman 3044


with fencer i want to keep master, i really do, but in this scenario im goin to use fencer 4440


with tk i can go 0304, get good def's, and knockdown1 and head hit1


to top it off i can get master brawler, the added attacks/bonuses are good


this leaves me with 27 SP's which i can put were needed bringing the final temp to:

as PvP'er i run Master Fencer/Master Swordsman/Master Brawler/and 4/3/0/4 TK

This maxxes out the basic defenses and gives me extremely high secondaries

I tend to enjoy the capabilities i have in just simply avoiding taking damage then people who are forced to pick up medic skills and heal themselves.

So after thinking about things alot and grinding non stop i think i have come up with a template that will make me happy.

Im wondering what you guys think about it.

Master TKA
Master Fencer
Medic 2-0-0-0
Smuggler 0-0-1-0
Pistoleer 0-0-4-0

What do you guys think about this?

I would love some comments ...pros and cons ect..
