ill be a fencer till i die have been since i started palying ( when i made it up the skill tree ) i might have to drop all other skills chaseing the holo's but fencer will never go !!!!

i'm not a holo fencer, but i'm new to the profession. i got tired of MCH - and i wasn't a bandwagon CH either, i started CH way back when and really enjoyed it. i wanted a melee profession and i was considering fencer or swordsman

I actually chose to be commando before starting the game. After mastery, and even with the nice pistoleer/smuggler skills on the side, it was just too slow for me. The max damage is nice and all, but I've alwaysliked speed. So after seeing my CM/Fencer friend in action, I fell in love with it. I'm still currently working on the rest of my template as this character will be for pvp, but with only 2 boxes, I can already tell I'll be a fencer for a long time.

I'm a Holo Fencer but will probably end up a true Fencer. Although I groaned initially when I saw Fencer pop up after reading my Holo I have come to really love it. I had thought pistoleer was for me but I really like fencing.

Unfortunately I will probably have to give it up because I am holoing but barring running across another combat profession that I like much more I expect I will pick fencer back up again. With pistoleer and my pets hunting was rather boring. I took on red stuff because I have high level pets. Now I take on red stuff because I can(and usually can't but oh well). I've seen Piket's tear into my pets pretty well before so to stand there toe to toe with them without pets is pretty cool.

This is one case where the holocrons forcing people to experience other professions has worked.

im a self trained fencer, the masters around my galaxy had flawed thinking, and i didnt want to make myself weaker, so i trained myself to be a fencer.

I've been a fencer since I started the game.

Then I started over.

I gave in, and went fencing again. I'm still working my way up to novice.

I don't use buffs or anything else to help me tank, since I'm really not that good. I just solo XP and fight mobs that nearly kill me before I kill them. Then I sit and heal and start over.

Slow, annoying, but I'm just not good enough to get XP any other way. And I hate grouping.

i can troll, but im also very experienced and can offer many insights that will be neglected.

im an extremist, and thats bad, thats just differant.

and yes im self trained, i make sure to buy every point, and not let others get app off me, like when i leveled TK.

there is a small trivial reason i do this, and nothing of real consequence.

I took up fencing on my alt because I thought Rykk blades looked cool...then I had to drop it when I decided to master BE! So, my 0/0/2/1 pistoleer/Choreographer/MCHwill become(eventually)Blademaster/MCH...I miss dancing, but fencing is just so much darned fun hehe...only way I'll drop it is if it becomes FOTM, and then I'm gonna go pikeman!{chuckles gleefully at the prospect of not being able to hit the floor with her weapon} I feel bad for them, hope they get some love soon...

hehe some clarifcation on this, as im guessing this pissed someone off.

everyones saying "im a real fencer"

well your not a real fencer, as in real life your probably something else. you play a video game like tomb raider, and does that make you an explorer of anchient ruins and a treasure seeker of lost artifacts?

no makes you no differant then you are, but just a person that plays tomb raider hehe.

same with fencer. everyone else who levels to master is just as much real as you are who have been fencing since the begining.

the game looks at it the same, the only differance is that you might have more experience, and thus use your utilities and skill faster, and more efficient.

that does not make you a real fencer, just someone who plays a character and pretends to be a fencer, and plays a good one.

but ya this didnt go over my head =P i know what you are talking about, just personaly thought it was funny, and figured id share, and to thank, some people in this forum called me narrow minded.
