you guys are going to see alot more of me on these fourms, i love to debate, sometimes im fairly contraversal in what i say, and highly argumentative. Im aggressive that way, i love to compete, but we can all be friends. Im sure the TK corespondant, well both of them, are somewhat releived that i have moved on hehe, but id like to just say hello
to the fencing comunity, and the fencing corespondant.

btw the paragraph that introduces myself is wrong. I was the first wookiee TKM on the server, and only recently finding out that i was the second according to some guy, anyways first or second doesn't matter hehe.
and in the top 3 or 5 TKMs to master, not skill
skill is hard to judge, but i do well regardless.

then he mocked himself in his own hypocracy and posted in this very post in a row to belittle one of his own fencing comunity members, for doing nothing other then saying hello.
in another thread he said "im a holojumper fencer im almost out of here" he belittles others for starting this, and id wager he is a very elitiest person.
he basicly is saying that new fencers are not welcome, and i dont really see that as the type of person that should be corespondant. do you? then again you all love him, i exspect you to disagree.
Ok... heres one word of advice, when you pick someone to start a flamewar with and are going to do nothing but whine and point out meaningless points, I'd recommend you leave Raph out of it. She works 100 times harder than all the other correspondents combined and quite frankly I can't think up one profession that wouldn't die to have her on their side. Pull your head out of your clouds and buy a sense of humor... if you really think for one second that her saying "I'm a holo jumper" isn't amusing than I truly pity you. If you'd take half a second to look at all the work that some of these people have made and what they've contributed to this community you'd just have to sit back in awe... but as it is, you sit lost in your own little world, preaching about this and that and then have the nerve to belittle these people then all I can say is that your list of friends around here is going down faster than the titanic after a nasty run in with an iceberg....
Its the people like you that bandwagon or whatever and then come voice off about every little thing over and over and over just like some pathetic record stuck on the same track.. it makes things a living hell for all of the other people that actually look for advice or information without someone acting like an arrogant egotistical **edit** about each and every little thing.
Enough is enough....
This can't by any means result in a positive outcome. I mean, bashing out at the Forums Correspondent and community isn't exactly a wise first approach

In reading this post I think I see what has happened, and where this went astray. We have simply had a few misunderstandings rooted in our unfamiliarity with each other. I'm going to do my best to try and address (and hopefully repair) these so we can get back on track.
First, but the least significant, is the gender thing. I know it is a common assumption that anyone that plays these games is male, but I'm a “she” not a “he.”

Valkari, this comment was not even directed at you. By definition (at least the definition I was working with... yours might vary) a troll is someone that just comes to a forum solely with the intent to stir up trouble; not to be helpful or productive. Everything they post is either a flame or argument or something to cause chaos or disruption. My guideline has always been not to even reply to such posts, as it doesn't accomplish anything but spurn them on. Do I always follow this guideline? No. I'm human, and I can occasionally get upset. You can say what you want about me and I don't much care. The times I get upset is when someone attacks (without detectable provocation) someone else on this forum that is known to try and be helpful to others. In those instances I have been known to become protective. But, it is still my guideline, and I try to adhere to it.
I do not consider someone who's sole activity is trolling the forum to be a member of the community, so I do not consider a statement saying not to "feed the trolls" to be defamatory against the community. On the same note, I have seen persons that began as trolls change their posting habits and become constructive members of this community, and I protect them just as much as I do anyone else. It is the “activity” of trolling that I want out of the forum, not the person.

If I understand correctly, I believe you are referring to when I posted a comment about your "style" of posting. This was a huge misunderstanding, and it is my fault. Several of us like to kid around with each other, and during this holiday time we have goofed around quite a bit. Browse around the forum a bit and you will most likely see to what I am referring. I kid them, and they kid me. Nothing is seriously meant to be derogatory, or insulting. When I read your post, you caught me in a goofy mood and I teased you a bit about posting multiple times in a row with no replies in between. Where I think I went wrong is that you didn't know me, and you made the assumption (an understandable assumption) that my post was an attack. It was not. I said your posting style was "interesting." Had it been intended as an attack, I have a far more "creative" vocabulary I would have used. But I had no reason, and no intention, to attack you. I was joking around, and it was taken wrong. In fact, one of the nice things about this particular forum is that, in general, we try very hard to get along, and not vent hostility at each other. Yes, it occasionally happens, but unlike most of the profession forums, it's the exception and not the rule.
Still, since this was taken wrong (which since you didn't know me, and didn't know the goofy mood I was in, it is understandable why it could be taken wrong) then I ask you to read the following lines and know it is meant with the utmost sincerity:
Valkari, I was out of line, and I most sincerely and publicly apologize for teasing with you. I made an incorrect assumption that you would roll with the punch and just kid me back. I meant no ill will in my jest, and hope you will overlook it, and try to accept it for what it was. Please do not make the post I made when I was in a jovial mood a reason to attack the rest of the community. It was my fault, and my fault alone.
Now that we see each see how the other considered the post in question, can we put it behind us?

This again comes back to the fact that you are unfamiliar with me. This was also meant to be a joke... but not in the way you have taken it. This was not even the most remote reaches of my mind meant to insult or belittle anyone. Quite the opposite actually. This joke was directed at me. Anyone that knows me knows that I am here for the long haul, and that I'm not going anywhere. I don't hold any ill will against those that jumped on the bandwagon to join Fencer to be “uber”, and none at those that are here by following the "path of enlightenment" as directed by a Holocron. In fact, some of the best people here came here through one of these two means, and have been a real blessing to the community. In fact, I have on multiple occasions praised several of them.
But the fact remains that the majority of those who came here solely for the dodge stacking, or due to a Holocron, will probably move on soon. I don't begrudge them for it, but I think we all understand that is going to happen. It wasn't the "being here" part of it that I was using as tool in my joke, but the "leaving." Those that have gotten to know me know my intentions, and my past, and know I'm not going anywhere. I was trying to make a joke saying that I would be gone any day now. I guess it's one of those "you had to be there" kind of jokes though. You weren't "there," so you didn't get it. That’s understandable.
Still, if you misinterpreted the humor, someone else could have too, so...
For anyone that took offense to that comment, and believed I meant ANY ill will towards them for being as Fencer regardless for their motivation, I very humbly apologize. I want it to be known that I appreciate any and all Fencers that come here to serve the benefit of the community or to learn from it. All I would suggest is to understand that we like to try and be lighthearted here, and joke around occasionally. In the future please consider first that any post you might initially take as an attack is more than likely just be meant as a jovial tease from a fellow Fencer, and not with the intention to hurt anyone. I recommend coming to this forum armed with a sense of humor.

Then you would loose that bet. Of all the persons that participate in this forum, I am worth the very least. I am a servant, and nothing more. You Fencers are the Masters of this forum, and I am only here to try and help where I can, and uphold the promises I made when I accepted this office. There is not a single person here, from the most experienced Master Fencer to the most inexperienced newbie One-handed Brawler that I consider myself to be superior to, or more important than. I have simply been given some additional tools to allow me to be more effective at my job; which extends from some certain forum moderator functions for trying to keep this forum in order, to special TC terminals for testing data, to special communication avenues with the Devs to represent this profession's desires and needs.
There are dozens of dedicated Fencers on this forum that could replace me in a heartbeat, and I would give them my full support.

Not in the slightest. New Fencers are very welcome here. That includes you (to dispel any doubt.) If I didn't welcome new Fencers, I wouldn't have spent all that time creating a FAQ to help them. The old-timers didn't need it, so who did you think it was for?

If this community feels I am not upholding my responsibilities, or that I am failing them, or I am lying down on the job, or representing them poorly, or being a bad example, or.... if they simply just don't want me as their Correspondent any more, then all they would need to do is let me know. I will step down. I am here to serve this community, and if I were not meeting that end then I would need to be replaced. However, I won't step down just because one person has a personal grudge against me, as I can't possibly hope to please everyone simultaneously. All I can do is try to serve the greatest good.
If at any time the Fencing community wishes me to step down, then hold a vote. If the majority wishes me gone, then I will bow out without a fuss and wish my successor the best of luck.

You have this backwards. I love them. That's why I accepted this position, as it has no other benefits. The notion that the efforts I make are aimed at trying to make their game experience more fun is my reward. My "payment" is in the form of any single post I see or PM I receive from my Fencer peers that expresses that someone is happy about the direction things are going for Fencers. Let me tell you... I consider myself overpaid.

Valkari, I request that you take to heart all that I have said. I want to be your ally, not your enemy. Accept my above apologies for the posts I have made that you mistook for attacks, and let's move on. You have mentioned a few times that people say things about you without knowing you. I will make an effort to get to know you better, but the only tool I (or anyone else on this forum) have for getting to know you is through your posts. I ask that you heed your own words, and not make assumptions (and posts) about me without knowing me better. So far you have evidently only seen 3 or 4 completely out of context (or out of character) comments by me and formed an opinion. I have read every post you have made on this forum in an effort to try and get to know you. How many of mine have you read? Please consider investigating a wider selection of my posts here, and re-evaluate your opinion of me with a (hopefully) open mind.

As always, you are a class act Raph. But to see these words not only (literally) pains me.... (I'm protective of those I think highly of as well.. my girlfriend has nicknamed me pitbull because of this specific trait)... it raises my ire as well.
You are irreplacable. The fact that any person who comes into this forum, and tries so hard to push your buttons when in fact, this particular person has clearly shown he can not *take* what he so easily dishes out..... well... I won't expound.
We can't vote you a salary raise. We can (and have) said that we want no term limits on Forum Correspondent's positions though--- because you are the very best thing that has happened to us, as a community.
And the things you have accomplished have not only benefited us, but the melee community in general.
Seena Who know a good thing when she sees it, and has no qualms being vocal about it.
Ive been through the boards, Ive seen corres go and corres come, some were good, others only wanted the title. When I needed something to learn by, even if it wasnt a fencer question, I came here and read the faqs. Shes the best, above and beyond.
But I agree with Kali in all her statements of both parties, While one has upheld the true values of being a contributor of a forum, the other has merely degraded it with self boasting and presumes he/she/its in the right, when everyone else so clearly see's the wrong. I also think that it isnt you Raph, that should be the one apologizing, but I can see where your coming from, and I respect your decision to ...side step... so that we may proceed.
As for voting you off correspondant duty...mmm no =) your stuck with us (tickles)

I'm glad we got most of that cleared up. There seems to still be one issue we aren't clear on though.
There is a post I made that apparently upset you where I mentioned that a person back-and-forth argument that had nothing to do wioth Fencing became ugly, then it shouldn't be conducted in the public forum but taken to some other medium.
From reading your response it will seem that you felt I directly this solely at you. Valkari, thiswas not the case. This request was directed at both parties involved, not just you. Whether I thought you were in the right or wrong, or whether I thought she was in the right or wrong is irrelvant. I was asking both of you to retire it to another medium.
I'm not going to get invloved between minor aggressions here and there when two people obviously just don't see eye to eye. I little remark here.... a minor squabble there... as long is it is no more than once in awhile, and the majority of the post stays close to topic.
It's not that we can't debate here. That's part of what this forum is for, and debates go on here all the time. I encourage good solid debate based in fact, and backed by hard testing. But the debates are supposed to be about the Fencer profession or the mechanics of the game, not the RL people visiting the forums. I'm not saying you can't post OT stuff, everyone does. But it shouldn't be an outright attack on someone else.
If two people have an issise between them, the back and forth changes from being a debate that belongs in this forum, to a flame war that doesn't accomplish anything for the profession. When something like this evolves I usually make one, perhaps two, posts to try and get the two involved to take it somewhere else. The first is one just like you saw, where I suggest it be taken elsewhere, and the second has a gentle but understood warning that it shouldn't continue. Should it continue, my next step is to contact them personally through PM to find out why they are still persuing a personal war on this public profession forum, and to make my final "suggestion" (I much prefer suggestions) that the personal attacks end. My last step, and I really really really despise being forced into having no other choice, is to go to a private forum available to Correspondents and escalate the issue to the Administrators for disciplinary action. My thoughts are that we are all mature enough that this shouldn't be a card I have to play.
Valkari, please debate any Fencer or game related issues you want in this forum. What I ask is that you debate with professionalism, and try and keep it on topic. Don't let it degenerate into something personal, as that means you have lost control. Show you are the better person by keeping the debate on track. If someone fires off a snide remark at you, shrug it off like it was insufficient for you to even take notice and keep marching. These actions will quickly earn you respect, and you'll discover you won't even need to fight your own battles, as those around you will fight it for you.
I visited the new thread you posted named Valkari vs. Kali. I was crossing my fingers and really hoping to see a debate about Warcry2 since you two apparently disagree about some aspect of it... or at least something else Fencer related. Now that I see that it sole purpose is to propogate that personal war between you two I respectfully request that it not be pusued. Please please please take it to PMs. The rest of us really do not want to be included in it. Please please please do not back me into a corner about what has to be done to stop this.
Valkari, as part of your side to turn this unproductive garbage around, can I count on you to not pursue the argument in that thread? I don't expect an written answer to that. You seem like a reasonable person, and I'm going to assume I can count on you.
Do feel like this is completely directed at you, or that it is a public chastizing. That's not what this is. I am making this public to let everyone know what should be done if an argument between two folks becomes a personal war. I know you are a big enough man to see it for what it is. I am also going to be letting Kali know that I'd prefer her to not reply in the indicated thread.
Now... let's get back to why we are all (supposed to be)here in the first place.
