Thread: Profession Balance, ha,ha,ha Dev's should read.
is there any need to understand? can't you see that a flamethrower does uber damage with uber speed, and all that matters at all in combat is uber damage and uber speed (we don't need to consider the 2.5X damage commandos take from melee, as that would be pointless).
oh, and dodging kiters' shots while knocking them down from 20 meters is quite useless as well. to add to that, i have never even had a second thought about trying out CoB, it takes health away from me and doesn't add any damage or speed to my weapon. why don't i just spam a bunch of specials with a flamethrower with uber damage and uber speed? brilliant!

I don't mean to be mean...but I think the problem is most people think like the poster above...that only speed and damage is what counts...................without adding factors of anything else that involves a successful battle and using just speed and damage then of course Flamethrower and LLC will win...so theoretically, according to this guy, a TKM doesn't have a chance of winning against a Master Commando........sorry to say but you're wrong ![]()
Watched a TKM take on 2 Master Commandos in Theed the other day........did he win because his 200Max damage Vk is more damage then the Commandos 1000+ Damage flamethrowers?..........Logic tells you not....Common sense tells you raw damage isn't everything...........blind, stun, dizzy, KD, bleeds, defense mods, mitigation, status effect mods, etc etc all fall into play when determining a battle.......a blinded Commando can't light a candle in a furnace....intimidate reduces damage to half, warcry stops any cueable action to stop for 10 seconds, 20 seconds at master brawler and useable at 30meters.......CoB, if you spent the little HAM costs reuired to use it then you will essentially be saving ALOT more HAM down the road.....you guys are damm near impossible to hit with CoB on.........when you're high up the level anyway.....
My point is....it's not just about damage and speed, and if you can utilize the tools available to you, then you are truly a master of your profession.........if you fail to see the obvious in front of you and refuse to work to make strategies for yourself to prepare for battle...then we will see alot of posts like above ![]()
Being a Master isn't all about SkillPoints and how you have the Master Box filled.........that's just the first step....
so yeah. go to your room and think about what you've done.

Ryushi! shhh! don't go spreading nasty lies about TKM and such. Commandos are the best class in the game, except for bounty hunter, maybe. let them do as they wish and leave us alone.
can u do this with your flamethrower? bleed 1, 2, COB, and a mouon gold with a supply of stim-b's. Last time I grouped with comandos they all died and I was left to clean up. To be a fencer, you must learn how to work with more than one special attack, what I don't have is the screen shot of the larger kimo I killed after resting, granted getting through the 75k ham on it took one trip to the clone throne due to a dumb mistake where i didn't have the stim b's in my inventory and they were in my backpack, but had I done it right, i'd have gotten through 2 kimos alone, I don't think any other profession can do that, maybe i'm wrong.

Let me put it this way, what state effects work besides bleed, dizzy, blind, they do nothing, make no differences, and dodge doesnt work while im fencing, if i switch to pistol i dodge constantly, but while holding that sword, not once do i dodge, against any mob.
My point is about how unbalanced the system is.When you take an Uber dmg wpn like a flamethrower and get xp using it, yet you switch to a sword and get 1 point of xp, something is messed up. It should be reversed.
And i said name a prof that fencer can beat, not TK, i fully agree that a TKM rules. (I understand that it depends on who's playing what, but im saying any descent player) But based on a one combat only prof versus one combat prof only fight, a fencer would lose to all others.toe to toe the medium armor peircing wpns of the other elite melee profs would cut you down. TK's hell once they knock you down, its over and yeah you might be able to pick off a pistoleer or rifleman if you got the jump on them, but if more than 20m ahead of you, your dead via kiting it doesn't matter how much you dodge (if it works for you). Carbineer helleven if you get drop on they are goiing to drop you, and theirfastmedium armor periceing carb isgoingto.....lol.Hell acombat medic only using poisons is going to kite you also.
A side note, fencer get what2 forms of dmg, stun and kinetic. Commando's have access to every form out there. So you may be thinking oh he has to stop to flame, why they are qualified to use that medium armor piercing carb with a 2.1 speed hitting you on the run for what 400 points dmg a hit (forgot dmg) and your going to be running behind him (if you get close enough to start with) hitting for maybe 250 with a good stun baton.
Thats unbalanced. But if you hard core fencers think that theirs nothing wrong with your chosen proffesion then hey DEV's they don't need any fixes.
What is CoB? I'd like to know, being a novice fencer and Master brawler, I see little to fault of this path to FS, so far... but CoB sounds good, if only I knew what this cryptic thing meant. Thanks. Oh yeah, Avase, YOU ARE DUMB! lol Had to flame for flames sake

Center of Being is a special you get at novice brawler. It boosts your defensive skills for a while when you use it, making you (even) harder to hit.
CoB gets more effective as you progress. The bonuses to effectiveness and duration are in the Footwork line.
