Thread: Defenses still stack right? just not over +125?

humm... a couple days ago when i played my master fencer/master pistoleer char, i was at +205 Dodge, ( i think it was around that mabe a little bit higher ) but that was my only one everything else was @ 125 vestsidegive me my peanuts!

i submitted a cs ticket a few days ago and asked specifically if melee/randged def cap like block/dodge/counterattack and the csr said no. i can post screens of the reply if anyone is interested.

They asked in the stratics interview if melee/ranged was capped, and the developers said YES.

Well, in the dev chat they said that counterattack/dodge/block and range/melee defense was capped at 125.

No matter how high your defense vs state skills are, they always have a 10% chance of sticking. So as another poster stated, anything over 90 is pointless against state issues.

You mean a csr didn't know what he was talking about? I have actually gotten more incorrect information from them than correct information. I'd go by what the developers have said over the csr.

im not really sure your accurate about the kd / dizzy / so on effecting 10% of the time...i tested out some KD resist food the other night and i had +150 in total....a tkm did charging bantha on me 39 times and KDed me twice thats more like a 5% chance than a 10...although it could have been a fluke...

What day? because three days ago i did the same thing but today and yesterday i get kd'd very esay even with 97 vs kd

i call stealth nerf on that, but seriously it kind of sucks now tka's are kiling me pretty consistantly if they have anything stacked with it, i was fighting a tka/fencer/master brawlerwookie so no armor, i had good armor on and buffediwth pixie and vercrupie so i was in good shape but the fact is you just can't hurt them enough


He looked like he buffed his mind up major, was rechargeing about 100 or so every 8 sec, my poions knife basicly didn't move the blue bar, and i was doign 17 dmg with regular attacks and 100 with mindhit three froma ph while he was kd


I assume he had good 50% synth stack, but come on these guys have like 60% unarmed toughness anyways then 50% more from the food drops my dmg to 20%, thank god he couldn't wear armor


Howerver it was a fun fight took 15 minutes for him to kill me, but it is a little discouraging when its all over and his bars are still at 100%


But the thing is if i hadent' been gettin kd/dizzied every minute i would have probalby been able to get someone else to declare and help, but oh well at least i got my moneys worth for that fight 15 minutes is cool, even if i'm missing and doing no dmg


Bottom line, make my kd food work again, like tka's need anymore help

Also note thata "to hit" bonuswas implemented if you are carrying a gun against melee. If you stacked fencer or any other high defense profession with a ranged profession and use a gun in melee, you will get hit more often. Several people have complained about this and it seems to be a huge bonus to hit. I know the Commando/TKMs are really bent about it.


Also note that the dodge/counterattack/block bug vs. state effect attacks still exists. Therefore you could get hit by a dizzy attack, dodge, and still end up dizzied.
