vassarian brandy = +400 to mind focus and willpower, has 50 fill so always take 2 of these. This will take all of your drink space. Always get 45 min duration brandy as the stomach takes 45 mins to empty so there is no downtime.
Synthsteak = 40% damage reduction for 35 attacks or one hour, filling of 27 or so. Take this early and let it empty from your stomach so you have more space.
Thaktillo = 90 - 100% resist to knockdown, filling and duration i am unsure of, could be 20 minute duration and 30 filling or so (i'm stacked and i dont need thaktillo so haven't used it in a long time, already have +120 knockdown resistance)
Ahrisa = +400 to focus for 40 minutes filling about 27 - 30. Very good food, take a couple and your mind ham costs will either be none or hugely reduced.
Vagnerian Canape = + 720 to willpower and focus for 10 - 12 minutes, filling or 30. Useful in emergencies, i.e if you have mind poisons on your and you need to regen fast. Do not take normally as they have a short duration and you will have a full stomach.
Pikkita pie - 50% chance to dodge attacks, duration of 25 minutes fill of 30. This stacks very very well with fencer dodge, sometimes making you almost impossible to hit, this food is very very good when facing riflemen (just hope they don't have any citrus snowcake).
Always always make sure you have a muon on you, preferably hotkeyed, muon is a lifesaver, and make sure you're far away from any enemies when the downer hits.
This is a brief intro to most of the key pvp foods, all fillings and durations are estimates, they all depend on the chef you buy them from.

/ui action clearCombatQueue;
/centerOfBeing;
/pause XX; (I usually add 2 seconds more as system lag can mess with the macro being streamlined)
/macro name;
Without /ui action clearCombatQueue, you must manually clear your combat queue before the CoB can kick in. Using the macro above, everything is automated and you never have to worry about it except remembering to fill your combat queue with specials when it loops. I don't think I have to tell you all the positives of your CoB macro clearing the queue itself.
As for hotkeys? If you've extended your hotkeys (24 instead of 12), make sure nothing that you're going to be using often requires a shift + F1-F12, such as: weapon switching, specials, and food. Reason being that if shift is still your 'walk' key, you will briefly slow down when using a special or eating some food, which is not good.
That's all the time I have to type, but I'm sure others will throw in their dos pesos.

-Start off with intimidate as this slows down your opponents attacks
-Next land a dizzy (use your highest dizzy attack of course)
-Next use lunge2. It is a posture down x2 and is unaffected by chef anti-KD food but will go against your opponents innate KD defense.
-Next land a blind as this will drop their accuracy a good amount hitting you less than they already are.
-And finally determine which weapon is going to be the best to use. Usually the stun baton but if the person is wearing stun layered armor or has a PSG you may have to switch to your gaffi or even a vibroblade (if well made).
During this time you should have your CoB macro going (Center of Being which adds to your defense) and have eaten whichever chef foods you prefer. Personally I prefer Thaktillo (anti-KD) for melee and Synthsteak for ranged. I of course have taken 1 or 2 brandies which leaves my drink bar filled and Pikkita pie or air cake depending on how available and cheap I can find it (some chefs charge an arm and a leg for pikkita pie).
Always keep a muon handy and use it like an emergency mind heal. This has saved me many many times.
Warcry was changed so that now if you attack someone thats been frozen by warcry the effect is automatically erased. You can throw in a bleed if you want to in the fight but against a buffed player the bleed really doesn't do much.
If you want to PvP on a regular basis keep a PSG or three handy. Against other fencers and geo pistol weilding pistoleers a PSG with as little as 10% stun resist can make a major difference. Even against a rifleman using the famed jawa ion rifle (stun AP1) the extra damage that a PSG shaves off is worth the cost (especially if you dont have a stun layered helmet).
And finally, invest in several sets of armor pieces. High kinetic chest and pants for fighting all other melee, stun layered helmet and chestplate for fighting riflemen, pistoleers,and fencers. Knowing how to switch these out during fights is the difference between a very good PvP'er and a so so pvp'er.

the only macro you should use is CofB anything else you should just have on hot keys. all it takes is experience. i can hit my hotkeys withour loking away from the screen becuz i have them memorized. and you dont jsut want to TRY to intimidate you HAVE to intimidate. best to stun them and blind them in any duel if at all possible.

Don't macro anything but CoB. The people who are saying "macro everything in combat" are static combatants who are cannon fodder for people who actually understand that you have to adapt to the situation as it evolves. Also there are alot of foods out there, far more than the one-size-fits-all solution of 2 brandys a canape and a thaktillo. Your use of foods should be very template dependent, and also opponent dependent. The only way to learn the intricacies and best tactics for pvp is to actually do it. People can tell you the basics (which is what everyone has tried to do here, though some have given bad advice) but to learn to PvP you have to participate in pvp, learn from your mistakes, try new things, etc. You could ask me how to play hockey and I could tell you all about it, but you aren't going to play in the NHL unless you practice, practice, and practice some more.

My template is going to be:
Master Rifleman
Master Fencer
4-0-0-0 TKA
--------------------
1-0-0-0 scout (in cause i gotta run up a hill for some odd reason...Also helps whenever I PvE)
Novice medic (with stim-b's a couple heals wil totally heal you. Also good for PvE)

First, with a Center of being Macro, it is not a bad idea to hit it once, then wait like 10 seconds and hit it again. The reason being that if lag messes it up, or if you get knocked down (can't COB while knocked down,) the second time coming up will catch it. It wont hurt anything to have an extra running.
Now as to other Macros. I agree that you don't want macros to fight for you however, they are ok to use sometimes. For example, I am Rifle as well as Fencer, I have a PVP bar that has Fencer and Rifle on it. I don't have room for everything. So I have one key that if I hit it, it does Intimidate, Blind, and Dizzy. I do still have Dizzy on my bar in case that wears out.
I don't think people should really relly on macros for more then limited use like that.
