If there's one thing this company does poorly it's communicate with their player base. Why do you think correspondents get fed up? It's because they're the only link to the devs and even they have very little say about how things go once an idea pops into a Dev's head.
Thunderheart used to work on the game Ultima Online and he used to communicate very openly there.Any ideawhyUO is still around? It's not for the graphics.
Since I saw the jedi saberthrow patch notes I had a sinking feeling thats why the nerfed Lunge, but please the two aren't comparable MLS gets a 32m melee KD while Mfencer gets a 10m super low dmg special with no point.

With a KD Fencer has a limited form of crowd control that is hardly an "I Win" button (certainly compared to rolling roots) since it is still limited to 15m. I guess I really don't see how it is overpowered.

It did have a knockdown but it wasn't supposed to. Lunge was fixed to match its intention and description.
This is all the info he had for us right now, What would everyone else want lunge to do if a KD is not an option? Advaned Lunge as a Root? More damage? I'm not even sure if they are open to ideas about changing it but our Master Ability has to be worth something!

Wow, and I thought I had gotten pissed about that when i finally realized what was going on, but ya know, it really makes a lot more sense if ya think about it. Now I know, the whole idea behind the CU was to not think and make the game easier because people like to accomplish things effortlessly rather than gain that sense of pride that comes along with earning it. And I know, its a tough concept to grasp, melee having practically no ranged threat at all. But guess what. Thats melee. Now think about it, even if lunge were to have a knock down ability, all it really truly does is continue to help this game gradually turn into every other impractical and boring game on the market, full of too many flaws (that irritate both the logical and fun-factor aspects) to even have a chance with my attention span. How can you call an attack that is bugged into knocking ONE opponent down from 15 meters away a good crowd control concept? I know I wouldnt hope to depend on an attack that could just be wasting my action because I'm relying on a function that shouldnt be there to begin with, so this may be the only time you'll ever hear me say this, but GO DEVS! Now, that we've worked that little thread out of the way, could we start whining about some other problems? Like, perhaps, the ones that are causing a lotof the REAL problems, despite the fact that they are still being ignored...

i have to disagree with you...
please enlighten us as to how a melee player is supposed to effectively fight a ranged player when we have no root (in fencer/swordsman/tkm) and only one snare (in fencer), and your range is 5m and 10m with lunge, and no KD aside from sweep in 5m range?
a reasonably skilled ranged player can easily stay outside of melee range 100% of the time now by snaring, rooting, KD'ing, and using parwan to kite.
the 10m lunge with KD was one of the few tools that allowed us to get a few hits in before a kiting melee player was back outside of range. now, some of us have nothing, and the rest have to hope they sneak inside of 5m range (which is difficult when dealing with even minor amounts of lag).
/endrant. this still needs to be addressed.
