nice concept.

but one thing... if our dps is so low, we will likely need more accuracy or else fall into the abyss of missing a lot, and not doing much damage when we hit. i would at least put us at 7 or 8 on accuracy if were gonna be that low on the dps scale.

As far as makeing us die in 5 seconds I don't forsee that occuring, I'm certainly not going to allow that to occur.

As far as other Melee Professions Tanking as good, I think realistically they should, nothing about our skills suggests we belong tied up on a front line... we should be breaking into the back ranks and causeing havok only one step ahead of commandos who drop the bomb after we've prepared them.

I'll try to propose more accuracy because of the lack of AP. But it'll be a hard sell.

How do you envision our role in PVE Minerunner? What do you think should set us apart from the other melee professions, if not our ability to fight defensively?

Situational Malliability

Short Term Adaptability

State attacks and Evasion allow for great short term survivability in all situations, but the longer we stay in the limelight the more deadly our prospects become.

Minerunner, the talk of lines, front lines, flanks and everything doesn't really apply. There is nothing stopping anybody from running wherever they want. Structured combat doesn't make sense, sure you can have tactics, but lining all your pikeman in a row and marching across the field just doesn't work.

I STRONGLY feel other melee professions shouldn't tank as well. If they do, what is the point of us having lower damage? If they tank as well we do, then were right back where defense doesn't matter. They do more damage, we tank better. If sword Tanks just as well as Fencer and does 3 times as much damage, why be a Fencer?

Now as to breaking into the back ranks and causing Havoc. If you don't deal a lot of damage, it is hard to cause Havoc. TKM's are far far better at putting people on their backs if that is what our talking about.

Yesterday was a PERFECT example of how a Fencer should work.5 of us got into a fight with 5 others at the Imp outpost, at the begining, I started out as Rifle, and quickly began head shotting their CM until he went down. Nobody likes a Rifleman, so showing good communication they all jumped on me. 3 were melee, 1 was pistol I think. Well out came the stun baton, and on came COB.

It took them way way to long to realize their mistake. They had stun armor, so I couldn't kill them, they would kill me eventually, but not with my friends focusing on them.

IMO THAT is the Fencers role, in both PVP and PVE, to stay alive and distract the enemy while others kill. You need to be hard to hit and at least a little tough to do that.
