Yes. And Mind Fire DOTs will own you without having at least Doc 3xxx.

Personally my favorite non-Doc melee template was the following:

Master Fencer, Master Brawler, TK 4304, Pistoleer 0040 and Novice Medic. Unlike the poster who had a similar template I used Medic a lot. Tried dropping it for a while but just couldnt live without it.

This was a great template for dueling, fighting in groups, soloing several fighters at once. However it's a bit less effective now that TKM toughness makes it harder to hurt them, even with a stun baton. And in spite of how much I loved this template I found I was getting more than frustrated being killed so easily by the simple application of a DOT.

Now I'm Master Fencer, Doctor 4030, Pistoleer 0040. I still have good KD and dizzy defense, plus I can cure states and DOTs. Works out pretty good so far, but in a straight non-DOT duel against a TKM-stacked brawler, there's not really any way I can damage them. It's just one of the tradeoffs we make.

It caps all defenses, state defenses are insane, and you are basically the most defensive player you can be, aside from using medic...But who really uses medic...Get some food instead...Just get a good stun baton and some janta knives...Beat the dog**edit** out of people while they whiff trying to hit you..






haha so far he got it the most right for me i dont need medic or doc skills as i have very loyaland very good medic/docfreinds who like to follow there mates around and heal all the time but the only thing i was wondering about was tka 4xxx is it really necesary i have looked at it and all it seems to alter is meditation which wont come very handy ion the middle of battle so any other idea's what i could do with the extra skill points or why i should have tka 4xxx would be great

MBrawler- MFencer- TK 4/4/0/4 - Swordsman 4/0/4/0 - Pikeman 0/0/4/0


That'd leave you 8 free points, and Melee/Ranged above the cap, and you'd be forced to play as a Fencer cause you'd lack the speed for the other weapons.

i've found TKM, Master fencer, master brawler and master pikes (yes, pikes) due to the fact that not many ppl wear leg armor in pvp (at least from what ive noticed) gives you a good variety of damage, (kinetic, stun, electricity) and with pike, medium ap. and being master pike makes you very very good at using all those nasty double DoT night sister lances

i like Master fencer/master pikeman/2 0 0 0 pisoleer/2 0 2 0 medic

You will be a dodge stacker then, but hey who isn't.Also you block will almost be capped 10 points from it.So when you have you nasty pikes out they miss a ton(dots are your friend).Medic helps a ton you can heal alot in pvp and cures those bleeds.


This template works very good for PVP.

Because it's how people play. There styles are different. Someone might advise taking tka 4,0,0,0 instead of medic to fit your criteria of melee only. Others would take medic skills over the tka. Lots of different templets work best for the person playing it. There has been about 5 posts that fit your criteria and each has there own value. Should we all be cookie cutter templets and agree one is the only way to go? Nope. I play different with my fencer then another fencer will. I stack heavy on the defence where one might want more in damage types IE sword/fencer/tkm. I choose fencer as my primary and all other decisions on stacking are what will be best to up the stats. I may be hard to hit but i am limited to what damage I can do. There is NO one answer to this question. In the end it's what works best for you. My advice look at the templets that fit your criteria then pick which one you like the best and play it.

look what people forget is your Def Caps at 125, It does not matter if it says 154, IT IS ONLY 125...period...

Master Fencer, TKM and Some Good Def from Pikeman, is probably the best pure Melee Template you can get for Pvp....and some novice medic stuff....(if you dont have a good doc).....The reason you leave out Swordsman, is b/c it is not as good as Fencer and TKM for Pvp, It is however the best for PvE.....I have seen many times, Master Swordsman, and Master Fencers go at it, and the swordsman allways ends up on the short end of the stick....I even See Master Fencers with uber Melee templates take out master Bh's and Commando's.....Knock them down, Int them and then depending on what is worn, go after Mind or health

Having an All Melee Template and not having TKM escapes me, Even with full 80 percent Ken armor, mindhits will totaly destroy the person your facing....and when you do get TKM, there are Big pluses to Def and Dmg (+70) which is a good boost, and TKM also gives you +200 dmg on other things, it will help boost your other Melee Skills.....

Meditate is usefull, It allows you to heal your self and your own Wounds

the only thing you cant heal with it, is BF, and you dont need to buy stims etc..


but unless you have good back up, you cant just bust meditate in the middle of a fight, for example if you where tanking a krayte for 3-4 people

you would have to let somone take over, run back from the krayte peace it, then meditate....

you should have that and some medic skills to be honest

i believe i have founfd the right template that i wish to use but i was wondering how usefull meditate was and would it be worth droping it for some med skills
