Lead in on all attacks with intimidate nowadays then blind dizzy and lunge 1, I never really use warcry1 myself.

ok right now my char is mrifle/tkm should i drop tk to go fencer? is it really worth it?... if so im going to keep 4400 of tk, so i can still dizzy/kd in one attack and the Cob macro works wonders for either fencer or tk i barely get it

blind them with the poison knife.
dizzy 'em with the fire knife. then posture change.
beat the crap out of them with the acklay baton.

whole combat system is **edit**ed up...fencers arent gettin screwed over as worse as alot of other classes

I dont even PvP anymore as a Fencer, I just can't do ANY damage whatsoever. I can't even damage a Jedi when they're un-armored and using that Force Shield thing and steak.

Devs! Please take notice! When the combat revamp comes drop all armor to 60% = Uber but get RID of stun layers, and keep PSGs or get rid of PSGs all together and keep stun layers, and if you dont do that for the love of god give us back our defenses, right now we are NOTHING
Minerunner help them see this, i think the fencer community would agree that having either weakness exploiting offense or strong defense with little offense is enough to define us as a proffession worth playing, we dont need to be uber but we need to have a purpose and right now we dont

im not a fencer, but im currently working on novice fencer atm. im aware of the damage decreases, but what is this you say about their defense being weakened? plz enlighten me, becuase i wanted fencer for a change of pace and there defensive bonuses, and if there defenses (melee defense, ranged defense, defense vs dizzy, etc...) is broken, ill just go up tka defenses instead.

well ive been a fencer for ages now, i think about 10 or so months and i have to say ive been pretty disheartened by the recent pvp changes to fencer putting us on the decline, some of these werent necessarily intended to "nerf" fencer but still hurt us in a big way, lets start things out with a list
1) Imp Prototype PSGs
2) Scatter Hit 2 Fix
3) Decrease In Effectiveness of Defenses (This Occured More than Once According to the Patch Notes)
1) ok so fencers were hot **edit** for quite a while with those stun batons until 40% stun armor came along. granted stun armor was in the game for a long time but it just wasnt discovered until it was entirely necessary the 50% for having ap1 vs stun as well as the extra 40% hurt the dmg output quite a bit for run-of-the mill batons. of course this was legit because stun armor had been in the game all along as had stun batons. but then came the imp prototype psgs, psgs w/ 3k cond and 40-60% vs stun, another double reduction that wouldnt decay as fast as normal PSGs, and as PSGs should. of course we had acklay batons at this time, but someone equipped w/ both a PSG and Stun Armor pretty much squashed a fencer's offensive power, which was OK...fencer was simply a deffensive proffession as the devs had probably intended
2) so our offensive is pretty badly hurt with the new def vs stun dmg but scatter hit 2 is still a great move for pvp...but wait! scatter hit 2 was actually broken! the seemingly great pvp move was never intended to be great but just ended up that way. scatter hit 2 is nerfed and the dmg is greatly reduced, but hell at least we have our defenses and should our foes not be equipped properly for pvp we can tear right through them
3) so our offense is crap against anyone who knows **edit** about pvp, but like i said at least we have our defenses right? wrong! as if it were a long time coming fencers are now more hittable in combat, and not just more hittable...completely and utterly wreckable! my ass gets plugged by pistoleers carbineers swordsmen and pikemen, classes with terrible accuracy! i hardly have **edit** any more even with 105 dodge and 100 melee / ranged defense!
so now the ultimate question
what can we do in pvp?
right now, we can run around and target whoever looks weak and pray that they're a noob enough to not have stun armor or PSGs (which rarely occurs)
so why am i so upset about this?
because not only has our offense been nerfed greatly (which is ok, we're less of an offensive class), but our defense, the entire foundation of our proffession has been crushed in pvp
without offense or defense, what kind of warrior can you be?
well, im curious to see if people feel differently or the same as i do about this issue because ive been really dissapointed lately with the changes to fencer...and though i will never surrender, a fix in the combat revamp would certainly be nice!

there was a time that riflemen would miss me or i would dodge about 3/4 of their shots, now granted that 3/4 is pretty unreasonable, without a good offense to beat on them with id say 3/4 is just fine
now they changed it so that fencers are no longer "unhittable" which we never were

More and more people are realizing that status has effects..
U can intimidate with a rifle in your hand. Dis the 'crap' on your bar? -Meaning, were there alot of status es on your Ham bar..
Stun and dizzy are the greatest gifts to a Rifleman disabling your defence next to intimidate. Stun is a REAL bugger. I am both fencer and Rifleman. I personally use a DX6 that is +100@54m, If u do not know the acc. calcs, in laymans terms, I still get bonuses when standing still pointing at a MOVING target at 50m. my +0 range is actually 28-32m. I use this thing to get past PSG's and defence.. don't even use a jawa anymore, it is just too damn accurate.
My point.
Maybe it is also that your opponents are getting better equip and finding out that flushing1 and flurry2 DO something..
I have the Fencer master and the defence is still godly.. and that ability to 'crap' on the targets bar in a CoB with all that dodge is still one of the dealdiest things u can do to an opponent.

my oponents have always been powerful, but im a master fencer master sword master brawler and it used to be when i hit CoB w/ air cake or pikatta pie i could dodge 3/4 of the shots now i use those and only manage to dodge about 1/5. im in a pvp guild and my guildies who are riflemen, carbines etc have told me the same thing, that they have much less trouble with fencers now because they can hit them 4/5 times, im going to do some tests and get the exact decrease etc, but ive checked this all out before posting and while my oponents may have gotten better, im sure the "balance" has had 90% to do with whats going on

I dont understand eveything you are saying about defenses. If you are talking about being hittable after someone lays a stun and intimidate on you then ok. I take pik pie and run a cob macro. Im a master doc and I take states off myself very quickly. Fencer defenses seem very strong to me.
