Sorry had to find this thread and apologise, some guild friend has a toon on the test centre and told me this, it later came out he told me this cos i beat him down in some duel we had and he got pissed at me, so sorry again.

is there a cap on dodge? I'll be mastering fencer again soon and I'm curious to know if the added +70 dodge from pistoleer 4--- is worth getting. that would put it at +185 dodge.

If you would have done a forum search for "dodge cap" you would have found out much more quickly that the cap is 125

I have not been in game for some time but was thinking of coming back, my toon is currently a master fencer with some tk skills and nearly a master pistoleer. With the new CU changes does it make sense to dabble at in different combat profs?

As far as Pistoleer with dodge being removed and the new 'roles' of professions, that's something that you'd probably have to test out.
