Thread: CU: Fencer Live Issues
Haven't tested fencer on live, but on TC advanced bleed was doing less total damage than improved body hit. Here are my numbers from one test with a blue frog massassi lance on an unarmoredpve target:
Advanced bleed: 254pt on the hit, then bleed ticks 3 times over the next 40 sec for 196 pts each, for total of 842 pts of damage
Improved body hit does 1036 pts in one hit
Compare also to a plasma flamer that was burning me for 207 pts per tick in pvp, or torso shot that does about 1300 pts total damage (initial hit for like 900+3 ticks of bleed, same unarmored pve target as above), all with blue frog weapons on tc, so should all compare pretty well
if these relative numbers are typical, then total bleed damage needs to be increased almost 150%-250%. Fencers should probably be doing 150%-200% total damage with bleeds over what they can do with body hit, depending on how slowly the DOT acts.

The most Fencer weapons I've had on me was 1 of every type... Provided they were pretty friggin nice to have... You never know when you could use a Rantok or Vibroblade
same here, lol and always a spare gad and stun in my house just in case
I'm a Master Fencer/Master Doc on Gorath. I'd been having the same problem with target range all week until yesterday when it seemed to get better. Most of the week though, I had to practically stand on the foot of any NPC or critter I was attacking or I'd get a message that they were out of range. A similar problem happened to me one day as I was trying to get a Dancer buff. I'd be within a few feet of a Dancer, select "watch", start watching - but then within a second, the "watch" would cancel and say the Dancer was out of range even though I was almost on top of her.
I'm hoping that these problems are being taken care of. I reported these bugs twice, but never heard anything back.
Good luck

I have the same problems with just trying to heal players in the group UI it says they are close enough to heal but I have to get right on top of them at times. Hopefully they work on this bug and a fix goes out.
Yeah the problem is the graphics aren't updating as fast as the code behind it is, a type of isolated lag i think. If you run towards the ranged player who is attacking the critter just start attacking near him and you will probably find you are hitting the MOB

I have this issue with be "to far" from my target. I hae positioned myself from 6m to right on top of the creatures and after a few attacks i get the "to far" message. I have gotten around the problem by clicking off the creatures and re-selecting them as a target that usually does the trick is any one else having this problem
i have the same problem, and its driving me crazy! it almost cost my life in pvp ![]()
the problem looks like a "dealy" with the criter phisical position, and the visual potition.
because if i calculate the way of my target, i can hit it, and i dont have the message "too far" anymore, but if i look at the screen, im hiting the air, because the creature is in the first position. But when the creature dies, the body warp to the final position (the real one). is really frustrating, because u have to guess, where the crature really is, and not look at the screen.

This is an issue. The AI has been programmed to go after the person who is dealing the most damage. Stand by him and you'll most likely hit the creature... Even if it appears to be 50m away.

Hell, it cost me my life several times last night, and it was frustrating. What cured it? Cloning, haha!
I had to switch to ranged last night, but I hope they have a patch for this bug, soon.
