Thread: Rancor. what am i doing wrong??
I solo'd five no armor, buffed and with brandy , canape.. lots of dead rancors thanks 36k
im master fencer/master rifleman/medic lol
Soloing bunches of rancors are easy. This is the catch. Migrate your stats to everything 400 except the last three, set them to 1000 (this is in a human). Doctor buff and musician or brandy will do the trick. I tried this with TKA, Swordsman, and fencer and it seems to work with no problem. I've fought 8 at a time with no issues. A little bit of advice though. The Rancor Youths, Gnarled Rancors, Rancors, Mutant Rancors and Enraged Rancors are all simple when they are in a group. Enraged Bull Rancors and singing mountain clan rancors have Dizzy/Knockdown. When they are in a group, sometimes you'll get knocked down and never get up. That's my bit of advice.

People in these days are insane, Buffed, with heck, i use 30% kinetic PADDED armor to grind exp, iv taken on 14+ rancors with the new chef foods.
The key is having some medic skills (to heal your health and action) and having SOME TYPE of kinetic armor. If you dont have armor, yes more then a few rancors will tear you apart. If you absoltuly do not wear armor, atleast get an 80% kinetic comp helm, when I dont wear armor, that is one piece I defiantly DO wear. 40k gets me a helmet, that lasts a long while, and makes all the difference.
The only things I need to take on rancor after rancor after herds of rancors is some brandy, 1 is genearlly sufficent, 2 sometimes, iv never needed to dbl it up and muon, doctor buffs, cob, some armor, and Dizzy2.
I do not normally intimidate, no need, they only get a hit or two before they die.. why waste the time.
I waste them 5 at a time and more, sometimes I take on Nightsisters as well, 'gasp' AT THE SAME TIME. While it may be posinle to do them without armour with medic skills as suggested by another. I think it is easier with.
Get some 80% kinetic composite. Honestly I dont think Fencer alone is good for this as its attacks deal low damage, Swordsman or Pikeman AoE attacks work out much better.
btw If you dont 'stack' you aint gonna get it done, and all of you against stacking, are against the one aspect of this game that sets it apart from all the Fey Elf vs Orc games on the market.
My guess is the guy you saw was a Fencer/Pistoleer/+ but honestly speaking, from someone who has tanked these mobs as a Master Fencer, Master Swordsman or Master Pikeman/Fencer Combo is the better choice. 80% KineticComposite, buffs, brandy and spice all needed.
