Fury, I have 3 rug rats (9, 10, 11) who enjoy watching me play SWG. They pull up a chair while I do my thing. To make things interesting, the oldest plays her cello and tries to imitate the SWG soundtrack.

For me, I simply never got over the gaming bug. My house was always stocked with the Atari, Gemini, Colecovision, NES, Sega Genesis, and all the recent ones through PS/2 and Game Boy Advance. My boy and I are hard core, playing on weekends after the rest of the house has long gone to sleep. Even though my sig says I am "upsetting my wife", she knows I love gaming and I know that's what keeps me young and CONNECTED to my children.

I even get the pleasure of having my wife sit on my knee while I play, that way she can understand what I do.

So as you can see, gaming will be much more fun if you learn to include the rest of your family. It makes thing much easier. But of course, you also need to learn to put family first, then gaming. So train yourself to stay up late and cope with it the next morning

Hmmm my last character in a 5000 person world wide game... saved humanity from two major Demons... stood up to and backed down the most powerfull NPC's in the game. And ultimately became a Lieutenant of Archangel Michael. And all as a Vampire.

That being said I enjoy Table top Roleplaying far better... but it won't keep you young like LARPing will.
