I know for a fact the block is broken and dousnt do **edit** atm. Also combos 1 and 2 for tka go through secondary def so dous scatter hit. The damage over time pisses me off because cammandos also put me on fire then mount and run.

From what I've been reading, it also seems like players are taking full damage when they block an attack, too.

Block is so bugged I don't know which part of me recents that skillthe most.

I think it's the part that's completely broken. You know, all of it.

I'd like to know how some of you are so sure block is supposed to simply reduce damage. Why make it alone different from dodge/counterattack, and why give it to the class with the lowest overall defenses if it's supposed to allow damage to pass through? I for one hope that it's not working as intended, or is broken in some manner. It's ridiculous that as a fencer, dodge prevents all damage (except DoT at the moment) but block still allows damage, and that it would be intentional that way.

Block isn't supposed to reduce damage. It's supposed to negate it entirely, like dodge and counterattack. Like you said, why should it allow damage to pass through? You're deflecting an attack with your staff or lance... why would it do any damage?

"what i believe he is saying is wether you dodge/block/counterattack a DOT (swordsman mind bleed) the bleed still hits you."

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. And that when an NPC or creature blocks a player's attack, the attack hits as normal. Meaning, it does its base damage, then resistances are applied.

Rosar, where di you get that information? i myself have heard otherwise, but i can't claim it's official. i thought that i heard it from Raphayl, but i very well may have misunderstood her.

so can you support your theory? i'd like to know, myself what block is supposed to do, since it seems neither you nor i know for sure.
