Everquest rogues do massive damage but have no real defenses...at all.

Everquest rangers do massive damage when they've acquired their AA abilities and using a limited duration special but have very few defenses. If you are a believer in "tank" rangers then please go outside and slash your wrists now. The term "mana sink" is more appropriate.

Lol No need to get all upset about what I said. I might have been totaly wrong about my idea of fencer beeing wearing light/chain armor, skilled with swords, daggers, and beeing very fast, almost stealthy ; that's fine with me.

But then don't go get all agressive about Everquest since obviously you didn't play it since Kunark era, or at least, never played in the high end part of the game in the last 3 years.
With gear and AA's, and a good CH chain, about any melee class can tank anything. The reason why warriors, SK and pallies tank, is because of their ability of holding agro on a continuous manner and not have the uber_mob_034 go ping-pong and slaughter healers. Healers themselves beeing the only reason why the said "tanks" stay alive longer than the other people around pounding on the local boss mob.
Jokes like saying that the most mana efficient way to heal a ranger is to rez him was fun 3 or 4 years ago. Since then the game changed. A lot.

Everquest... *siGh*.. what can i say... the definite low-point in my life.
