Rule of Thumb:
If you are Mind/Focus Buffed DO NOT USE BRANDY OR AHRISA OR CANAPE >> Wasted Stomach filling.
I eat Synsteak while being Mind Buffed, gives plenty of time to get doc buffed and go overt at which time your stomach is empty.
When you start off, Down a Pikatta Pie, Citros Snowcake
Make sure to buy REALLY NICE Blue Milk, I use +628 Mind Healing and Filling less than 33, because in case I am overwhelmed with Head hits, I have an empty drink stomach and can down a full 3, with mind buffs, which will heal about 1900 mind damage instantly.
Be sure to try and down an Intimidation food (not sure the name) because Intimidation will completely remove your dodge defenses. Just in-case things get really bad have a muon ready too.
I have solo'd against 2 Dark Jedi Knights like this.
Enjoy the advice and happy hunting.

umm, Also I forgot to mention that only a few pieces of armor are needed:
CHEST
HELMET
GLOVES
BOOTS OR PANTS ( One or the other )
Hence why People who wear FULL ARMOR, need that Brandy, but again Stat Migration plays an important role because when you're doc buffed the only thing you have to worry about is your mind...
Lets say we have IDENTICAL Sets of Armor
TYPICALLY A SET OF ARMOR FULLY EQUIPPED HAS:
Total Mind Encumb :1000
Total Health Encumb: 800
Total Action Incumb: 800
Where as Someone wearing only 4 Pieces has:
Total Mind Encumb: 700
Total Health Encumb: 500
Total Action Encumb: 450
Whether your human or Twi'lek, The diferrence between full set and 4 pieces is about 300-350 ecumb on all stats ( give or take 10 or 20 )
Canape = 400-600
So, A special that would cost FULL SET OF ARMOR would be about 30-40
Whereas the 4 Piece set would cost about 10-20
NOW REMEMBER THIS IS ALL WITHOUT MIND/FOCUS BUFFS
Mind and Focus buffs, there is no Special COST WHATSOEVER.
So the species Doesn't really matter as long as you know what you should be equipping and what is overkill.
So says the EDUCATED human.

No, the difference is the amount of focus/willpower is gained from a canape... thus the difference between using either 4 pieces of armor and a full set... so if you wear a full set vs wearing only 4 pieces... you CAN take a canape.
I am arguing my point that regardless of the species, wearing only 4 pieces of armor makes it balanced.

Actually it doesn't. With full MIND buffs and only 4 pieces of armor I only HAVE TO take 2 brandies and maybe an ahrisa (depending if I'm wearing heavy PvP effective sliced armor or Kinetic PvE encumbranced sliced armor) to reach the 1500 focus mark.
Zabrak and twil'lek= 500 focus + entertainer buffs= 1000 focus...then subtract your armor encumbrance and then add your food.
Human= 1100 focus + entertainer buffs= 2200 focus.......just a small difference

So now you're telling me to eat canape? Well good, 'cos I do. But earlier, you were arguing a different case. In fact, I'm not quite sure what you are arguing.

When you stat migrate, you generally want the most amount of mind as possible.
If your armor encumbers you about the same as your base mind without buffs, then Get mind buffs, because you will be pouring out mind hitpoints.
Get a stat Migration and max your Mind, If you want to Also EVENLY max your Focus/Willpower, This way you generally don't have to worry about incapping via mind, and can use up the healable HAM's like Health and Action.
I try to make it to where my enemy is forced to hit me on something other than the mind pool which endures the battle and each move is either a mistake that costs you a trip to the cloner or sending the other person to the cloner.
