well, everyone has their opinions on what i said. i think Lyahpar's got the idea though. i'm not saying this place is definitely going down hill. that's just the trend i have noticed. doesn't mean i'm right, nor do i claim to be.

yes, i would like to see less of this:

"No insult intended, you just give the impression of immaturity and stupidity"

personally, i feel a statement like that does nothing for anyone. and it does tend to clutter posts with useless information. not to mention which, i happen to believe that a response calling someone immature and stupid is well... less than mature.

again, this is only how i feel. i'll not hold it against anyone if they truly wish to belittle others. it is your right to do so on these boards unless told otherwise. i'm not here to make rules or enforce them. this is a plea for sanity and politic behavior.

i can see now that EasyMcRhinopants is using sattire. there's evidence right there that even i can take things the wrong way.

i would apologize for opening this can of worms, i know i started it, and i know that essentially it is useless for the fencer forums now. i had a hope when i wrote it that we would all share some lovely epiphany and there would be not a derogatory word said in these forums ever again. i've been called an optimist, and i was inclined to disagree. optimism is often an unrealistic expectation. maybe i am an optimist.

thanks for all the responses and thoughts, though!

Optimism through pesimism, hmmmm, lots of sense, lots of sense. LOL, this thread just shouldn't have been started. I say we just stop talking 'bout it. If I had administrative powers I would now delete this thread. Next best thing is to change the subject!

\/**NEW SUBJECT**\/

What do YOU think fencers should get, better defenses, better weapons, higher damage(bonus skill), decreased ham costs, or higher speed cap? You can only choose one! I know we want them all but that's just not gunna happen.

/\**NEW SUBJECT**/\

I want better defenses, cause that would be the most useful for PvE, we could actually take mob aggro and thus dethrone the CH as the all powerful tank type class!

From what I can see from the time I've spent playing my test center character we will be getting(should be as most things on test center get pushed live to my knowledge) we do get large bonuses to are defensive statistics. Now if this will make a big difference I don't actually know as I'm only a low level brawler on test center. PersonallyI hope it does as I'll be ableto drop creature handler and tank things myself.

and since when have I been a commando im blademaster through and through

yes, i agree. it was a mistake to start this. let's just ignore it, and let it get buried. sorry for the non-constructive thread, guys.

On the contrary, I had noticed that some of the responses by a few particular persons were often offbase, and was considering mentioning this anyhow. I have recently contacted those I am referring to and they know who they are. Part of my role is to try and promote a healthy and friendly community in the Fencer Forum, and I intend to do that. I admit that I have taken a somewhat agressive role against certain posts, but usually it was in defense of fellow Fencer from an outside aggressor. However, in retrospect I should have used another (harsher) alternative I had available to me that I didn't wish to use.

Above I "suggested" being professional and courteous in our posts here, and for posters to stop personal attacks. If you disagree with an idea, fine. Explain why, or ignore the post. But do NOT attack the person. It is against the rules of this forum, and if I my hand is forced to firmer action by anyone continuing to post hostile posts directed at the poster (rather than the posted subject matter) then I will regretfully pursue action that will stop it. I don't care how "idiotic" you may think someone's ideas are, that does not give you the right to belittle the person. That is abuse of the forum and cannot be permitted to endure.

That's all I'm going to say on this matter. I'm hoping I don't have to be pushed on this issue. I would much rather be in a "friend" role than a "police" role.

Nuff said.

I honestly believe guddy is too stupid to play this game.. english (or your chosen language) language skills are pretty much a typing requirement... I find his methods of speech offencive and annoying, I think i'm within my rights to complain of someone behaving in a way I find offencive.

No insult intended, you just give the impression of immaturity and stupidity.

I'm here to help improve the fencing proffession, and to improve my own skills through the teachings of the blademasters, nothing more.

(And i've got to vision express for years, but please don't make the really **edit** stupid 'joke' that my eyesight has any relation whatsoever with how well I read your 'posts', I'd need to be severly long sighted to confuse your spelling abilities for sensible speech.)

*thinks to himself* I'm willing to admit I've taken this thread off topic, and the constructiveness of my replies only applies to guddy's removal from the forums, which i'd appreciate...

I apologsie for twisting your post, AltairPolluxRigel, and to Raphayl for causing some friction.

let's keep back on topic, but don't expect me to refrain from trying to get rid of the '1337speaking' idiots who are starting to plague the fencer community... When I arrived I only saw the constructive mature and intelligent players who are the real fencers here.
