good day to all. i am athaemic, from correllia and tattooine. i am learning to be a novice creature handler, master rifleman, and learn all fencer skills in the brawler skill levels. i just was wondering if this is a good combo, what skill points left i will use on either medic or entertainer. feedback on this message would be great. thnx.

In an entertaining and realistic gameworld grinding would be ineffective and the unimaginative would not win.

If the devs didn't want this they could have easily split the defensive bonuses up into all the different lines. " It's our game, not the dev's game. How can you enjoy pure combat proffesions... Buy a second hand playstation, and tekken 3, and enjoy it, please. My character is self supportive, because he knows services are hard to get. TO function this way I cannot take tiny little tidbits of every proffession to make myself god. Nothing in learning to fire a pistol will make you better at dodging bullets, or make your skin more resistant to a blade... *hiss*

easy

i can fight bigger and cooler things as well as be more effective in pvp

being effective in pvp = enjoying pvp

we arent taking tidbits of diff professions

Master Pistoleer isnt a tidbit and niether is Master Fencer, in fact its not even a piece its the whole ****ing thing.

and as far as the ranged support line is concerned......well what in the heck am i going to do with all that combat xp? that tree uses purely combat xp i might as well get it since it gives me defensive bonuses as well as some useful skills.

and the unarmed and TKA stuff, well i'm only using 19 skill points on it, what else would i use them on that wouldbe as useful as meditate and all those special defenses for only 19 skill points

i got novice medic because every person that fightsneeds some medic skills

with all these combat skills i can support myself financially just as well as any tailor. i will be able to do 25k missions on dathomir.

its not abusing

its just another way to play the game

T-900 - Sir, I suggest that you moderate both your behavious and your attitude.

Of all the boards I have spent any time in, the Fencing board is consistently the friendliest and most respectful, and you are in danger of souring the atmosphere here. Different people enjoy different things in this game, that's what makes it such a wonderful thing to play. Abusingsomeone because you do not enjoy what they enjoy...

i think the devs once stated that if you're not taking different professions and dropping some to get others and changing to find the perfect balance of several professions that you're missing out on a lot of the game.

so i mix and match. i have TK, i have fencer, i have medic, i have scout, i have entertainer... i still lose all the time in PvP. i die often against the stronger creatures and NPCs. i wouldn't call mixing and matching "powergaming", nor would i consider myself "scum."

T 900, i would like to ask that instead of calling names, you might politely use the english skills that you say Guddy lacks to find a nicer and more constructive way to say what you mean. perhaps you could say "i feel that mastering more than one profession is an attempt to undermine what the developers have intended for the gameplaying experience."

or perhaps: "i feel that star wars should be more realistic and less game-ish. so i feel that every player should conform to the standards that i will set forth here:"

or something like that. that would greatly reduce your one star ratings and would greatly increase constructive discussion.

my apologies for singling you out. you truly do have ideas worth discussing when you are stating them instead of belittling others.

T-900 you need to chill out... im sorry but SWG is not the real world, and if you think it should be like the real world maybe YOU should buy a sowing machine, a sword, and run around making clothes and kill creatures around your neighborhood and stop blowing up on people..

so what if peopel WANT to be able to stand a chance in combat? so what if people don't WANT to be self supportive and only be good in comabt let them. its not their choice, who cares? if everyone was a tailor then you wouldent make money, its because of pure combat classes your allowed to be a tailor cause... if everyone could do it what would be the point? in order to keep econmical balance within the game the gots to be balance through the combat/non-comabt classes. Just cause you choose to pick a non-combat class don't mean everyone else has to... and there is no right/wrong way to play... so chill out... and smoke a bowl of some fine ganja... cause you need too

Here what I think would be the ultimate melee fighter

master fencer

Swordman - 0040

Pikeman - 0040

TKA - 4104 or 3204

Scout - 4000

I have not total the numbers but you would have a master fencer withthe best defenses from the other melee classes.

P.S. Also with the above skills you get pikeman sweep 2 (area knockdown) and swordman sweep 2 (area lower poster), wich would be great to use after fencer dizzy 2 (area dizzy).

Heh, good idea... I'm taking my character a few steps further though.

Uh my character is more supportive than yours, I guarantee..

If I focus on making money.. I can make.. Hm..

22k every 15 min.. So 88k an hour.. Can you make 88k an hour JUST for work you do in that hour? And not have to wait any longer? Somethin tells me no.. So even if I only do this say.. 3 hours a day.. For a week.. Which isnt much..

I make 1,848k in a week.. So I'm self supportive. =) And I am a pure melee class..Nothing more.. Nothing less.

Then of course if I just do it for 8 hours on a day off or somethin...

704k in 8 hours... And that's giving myself 15 mins per missions, when it really takes about 10 minutes..Including the run.

hey T-900 relax man... i ave 2 account te second is te uber melee one... and wy ont?? i am a nomal fencer doctor on my main... nice to ave a payer tank for me then to take some ch skillz o non-ch pet and tank... and witht the chances for the tc going live... omg il love it

so you bet you arse... and i dont powe game thats why i dont ave a max classed char yet
