Thread: Petition to nerf acklay bones(again)
Anyone who says a fencer killed them obviously wasn't wearing armor. I do 40 dmg using scatterhit2 and my 242-412 dmg stun batonon a person wearing stun armor and a psg.
Stop with the nerf cries. It terms of damage, fencers suck and blow. We have no viable ap1 weapons. We only do 2 damage types, kinetic and stun. The average fencer has a 200 dmg stun baton. Only extremely wealthy people can afford those 500 dmg stun batons. The high end acklay bones are extremely rare. I would say I've killed the acklay at least 50 times. The best bones I've ever gotten were 150/150. Most of the bones I get are 65/65.
The fact remains that anyone who wears stun armor and gets killed by a fencer just plain sucks. You would have to lay down on the ground and let the fencer whack at you for 2 minutes. Fencer has lots of defenses but almost no offense.

Even without the PSG, we're still talking 40% resists..and who's to say they don't have one of your PSG's as backup?

Give us a decent AP weapon and people will move away from using acklay stun batons.

either vote 1 or 2 or 3 here are the options.
1) NERFT teh ub3r FoTm Fencers because theypwnedme and owned my dog in PvP!!!!!!!!!!111
2) nerf the drops of the acklay bones so the acklay cannot drop greater than 200/200's
3) Do not nerf the acklay bones.

If you nerf aklay bones your also nerfing other professions other than fencer.... My vote is this i think scatter hit is to powerful with dodge.... you cant be hurt and since basically scatter negates any mitigation i think or defense you have its pointless man...
I think the fact that a masterfencer can take down a 4,4,4,4 guardian is bit lame.. .. Thats my thoughts anyways... Aklay bone raley if ever drops anyhint over 200 these days and if it sum1 uses some its probably cause they have it stored away and now are using it...

Why they should be nerfed? Let me explain.
With master rifleman,(I've actually done this)I stand at my best range to get the best accuracy with my +50 accuracy rifle. I CAP my accuarcy mods standing and moving with attatchments. The fencer then center of beings. I shoot exactly fifty times. I hit twice.
THAT'S why they should be nerfed. ALL OTHER PROFESSIONS ARE NOT POWERHOUSES IF FENCER CANNOT HARDLY BE HIT, AND IF FENCERS THEMSELVES ARE THE NEW POWERHOUSE BECAUSE OF ACKLAY BONES AND INSANE DAMAGE WEAPONS.

Umm, Rifleman have 160 accuracy. 2nd highest accuracyin the game. How muchshould Rifleman have?

Well apparently it's still not enough. All I'm saying is there are other ways to balance than constantly swinging the nerf bat. People complain to much. They get beat in PVP so the other class automatically has to be nerfed. Meanwhile a PVE playerlogs in one day, kills a creature, then logs in the next day to find that same creature can now kill him simply because PVP combat is not "balanced". Why not just make every player play the same class with the same weapons/armor and the same skills sets. Then we'll have balance.
#4 being anyone who uses the term FOTM should have his eyelids stapled to his forehead and force fed sleeping pills...
Look, balance is not to have everyone having equal damage, equal defenses, all the same damage types etc. That would make for a pretty damn boring game if everyone was the same thing with different graphics. Balance is designating specific strengths and weaknesses to different professions so that there are professions out there you can beat, ones you will lose to, and ones that you're pretty equal to. If you can't beat a fencer in PvP, find a profession who can to save your butt. As others have mentioned, all it takes is to land an indimidate.
I will not feel sorry for *any* rifleman who complains that they can't take on a fencer solo, except me, because I happen to be both

Here is why your example doesn't really hold water.
You shot at a Fencer 50 times and hit him twice... Where was his other skill points? I'm a fencer / rifleman myself, I have great ranged defense. I spent the points for it. Rifleman, get melee def as well, I'm sure the fencer missed you a few times too.
There are many factors that can lower the damage dealt by a Fencer, melee def, melee damage mitigation, stun armor. Just because YOU don't do well against them, doesn't mean others dont.
