I disagree and Kind of agree.
Choosing any Combat profession should not then remove you from an aspect of the game that revolves around combat. Unfortunately, with the poor combat balance and the need for SOE to introduce 300k HAM, 100% Resistant Mobs and NPC's tocompensate...This IS the case, it just shouldn't be and I amcertain it isNOT intentional. At least we can take solace in that the Fencer profession does excel in one area (even if in my case I refuse to be involved in that part of the game until the combat rebalance) there are professions that are not that lucky.
The stuff that Swordsman can Solo and we can't, just shouldn't be Solo'd...Simple as. In fact a lot of the stuff we solo we shouldn't be able to and in 3 publishes time we probably won't be able to.
I do agree our role in High End PvE is that of Damage Soaker (or Avoider) but as I have said before, we are not even capable in this role.All we can really do is wait for the Combat Rebalance...I would like add that unless you play unbuffed and unarmoured, no matter what combat profession, be prepared for an almighty Nerfing...At least that's what it needs....Just hope they remember to nerf some of the Mobs with it.

You flamers are really funny you know. You go visit a psycologist so you can fix your anger problems before posting next time. Fencer should not recieve ap2, if you want it it to would have to say go swordsman.
However i do think the vibroblade is not enough of an ap1 sure it can be enhanced but i still think the curved sword and the Ryyk should be bumped up to ap1, maybe then someone would use them which is a great improvement if you ask me since i feel fencers mainly should use bladed weapons.

this is why u got got 1 star and i got 5 we dont like this type of talk here it makes us feel uncomfortable. and second of all u must suck at pvp cuz swordsman does not suck if u were half as prepared as the fencers u fight u might actually stand a chance. and even with ap1 we couldnt phase an elder they have 100% vs kinetic and stun what part of that dont u understand.

There won't be any imbalance from acklay bones because they replace reinforced cores so the only fencer weapons they can be used in are Stun Batons and Gaffis. The only enhancement for swords are Geo cores and Rancor teeth, and finding good rancor teeth is very hard and using them results in weapons have higher damage but also higher HAM and a slower speed.
Ahh I didn't know that, thanks for that info (Never been a Crafter) Hmmm I had some Rancor Teeth lying around I wonder if I still have them. I used to have some bile soaked ones from Jabba's Quest but i havefeeling I binned them ![]()
In that case, I see no reason for AP1 to be on our Swords. I still think that with the combat rebalance and HAM cost changes, the Vibro Blade may yet prove an effective weapon.
