i killed 2 armored buffed tkms and a pistoleer in coronet this morning
1st the tkm started attacking me and the pistoleer was about 15m away
i dizzied the tka then lunged 2 him followed with my blind/bleed/bleed/intimidate macro
then spammed scatter 2
2/3 ways thru his mind he stood up so slapped on a lunge 1 and finished him off
then knocked this pistoleer down and killed him in like 3 hits
they the final tka tefed attacked me and tried to uakd 2 me 3 times in a row and all i got was a dizzy
so i dizzy/lunge 2 him and procede to scatter 2 him to death
all this i had 2100 buffs a mind buff and 2 402 brandies
im poor on starsider so i learned to fight without armor
and my baton is like 105-172 or some crap
and when done i had maybe a lil under 1/2 ham
i was very proud of my self
and all the tka's gave me a good show /tell
Depends on the mob and character build.
As a TKM and Blademaster, I will use fencer against mobs like the geno mercs. I can sit in that room and spin attack away for hours, even during the insane spawns, of 12 popping in each spawn location. In high end pve, krayts and such, tka is better.
the trick is how much damage the mob does....
if its an uber mob, tka without vks equipped negates my armor hole, and 1 psg and wookiee armor will allow me to tank a giant krayt without incap, while 1-2 rifleman destroy its 450k mind. Same with high level NS.
with fencer, in order to get the cob to work most effectively, you have to be wielding a fencer weapon, (stun baton) or 1hsword. i'm not sure about this, but it doesn't seem to work as well with a gaddi equipped, maybe since its a "melee" weapon, without an advanced, 1h weapon cert.
with tka, you can cob (altho not as effectively) without vks equipped, but youcan still do all your specials.
once you unequip your weapon, your armor hole dissappears, and you can take that high enddamage for a LOT longer....
I love this profession, it's nice to be able to actually stay and fight a Mob for longer than a few seconds.
