I still think we should push for a new blade that does heat damage. Just my opinion.

im a mast fencer/mast gunfighter/rogue/4003 tka though i might drop tka down to just 4000 and get 3040 smuggler so i can avoid scans, im a rebel colonel and i wear a marine backpack and a marine boots , im not getting rid of these, (my boots ar eeven at 0% conditionbut had a 44% encumberance slice so the encumber is just like 2/4/3, or something so i dont care), anyways, with this being siad ill continue to get my weapons sliced, ill continue to keep moun and pixie on me, if a storm trooper scans me and i go overt, and there are some imperials there, they better be ready to die, i find this imperial crackdown to be very benificial to me, in other words, its gonna be a FP farm for me , im looking forward to it, and they really need to fix stun baton

ro, are they making the rantok blade actually good now?

I would imagine it will stay the same :-/. Its unfortunate that our best weapon is a metal pipe. I would like for them to switch the image for Ryyks and Gaffis, but with all the other issues in the game I wouldn't count on it.

Demigogue -

Just go to the Jabba's Palace POI and speak with one of the first two guys you'll encounter. That will get you started.

(Just be sure to have a positive rating with Jabba's Faction first. If you don't, run missions targetting Valarian thugs from the mission terminals in a nearby town.)

Very good effort in stepping up to fill in some useful information to the fencers here. I'm looking forward to gaining a new correspondant. Going to be some tough shoes to fill but I will support anyone that is truly ready to sacrifice their time for the good of this profession.

Food changes, well the short version is that to get effective food buffs in the new system you will need to Vasarian Brandy and Vegnerian Canap made with high quality bio-engineer food additives in casks (as barrels don't appear to be fixed as of the patch today) to satisfy the mind needs. Also Spiced Tea if made with pretty good resources with the filling experimented down, allows for a comparable boost to Fishak.

My opinion onnew fencer weapons-

Fencers should remain low damage in comparison to the other melee classes. It's a finesse class.

What would be nice is to give fencers a variety of damage types- like adding a heat weapon and an acid weapon, even a cold weapon. Then that low (in comparison) damage is more gauranteed to "break through" against a variety of opponents.

I do think stun batons need either a *small* boost to damage, or a ham cost reduction.

As far as weapons go, let's make the stun baton usuable and more balanced with the jawa rifle. Rifleman deal out so much dmg that it makes our little stun batons look really puny, not to mention they burn more hams than the jawa. Other than the stun baton (which i thought was supposed to make the profession special until i saw a good jawa rifle) i think we're good on weapons, especially considering the defenses and COB mods we get.

I actually like the Stun Baton where its at. Of course it took me buying 20 of them, getting them sliced and one obtaining a 34% damage slice to get one I truly found useful.

If the Crackdown does work and slicing becomes much less desired, the Stun baton will suffer. I'd like to run the numbers comparing a Gaffi, VibroBlade and Stun baton against various targets to see where it becomes more useful. I have a feeling that the Stun baton only becomes truly useful when the kinetic resist is above 50-60%.

If anyone is on Ahazi and would like to help, send me a /tell in game. (Preferebly I need someone who can wear armor, so that counts you out Domax ).

I can help out if needed and would like to get more involved as a new Blademaster.

*****With the exception of commandos and combat medics (who are not effected), Fencers probably are the most reliant on their DOT attacks of any combat profession. The DOT helped us compensate for the damage we lose verse the other melees. Unfortunately this change is already going through so be ready.****

I'm sorry but Commandos are just as affected as you guys are with the DOT nerf. You have to keep in mind that everything that is hitting you is hitting commandos as well. But you are right, combat medics are the only profession hat uses a DOT that has not been affected.

Well my issue with damage is in consistancy.

If you look at the various Brawler profs going across the board (TKA, Fencer, Swordsman, Pikeman) you see a general trend or what should be a trend.

As you move from left to right you see defense decrease, damage increase, speed decrease and accuracy decrease. Unfortunately this leaves fencer in an uncomfortable situtation. With the one second cap, we are the same speed as a TKM however do much less damage with far lower accuracy. Where the swordsman and Pikeman (who needs loving) make up for some of their deficeincies with a higher AP, our only AP weapon is actually poorer than VKs. What helped balance us offensively was our bleeds which are basically worthless now.

I would be satisfied if they gave us more of a weapon choice. Under no circumstances should a TKA be given anything besides kinetic damage. One benefit we have is our stun weapon (albiet it is fairly weak). I would love to see a cold weapon more so than any other type only because 1) there aren't a lot of cold weapons and 2) MOB resist tend to be poor verse it.

So heres the challenge to all of you who are much more well versed in Star Wars cannon:

See if you can find swords that fit the Fencer prof (so not two-handed), that have damage types that the devs may find appropriate. Maybe somewhere there was a guy or lady that routinely froze his swords before battle .

And no a lightsaber doesn't count .
