Having been both you should go sword. TKM has crappy area attack. Swordsman get a really good one. Plus they can damage a mind pool alot faster, damage higher. Only downside is they aren't as fast and you don't get as great as defence mods as you do with TKA. But in the end do what you really want. I can tell you it is alot faster to level sword then it is tka. I honestly enjoyed both but if you forsee pvp in your future you will have to lok at getting some good SEA, AA to compete well as a swordsman. TKM is pretty inexpensive in that regards plus you can usually find the vk you want sliced for around 30k. It will defiantly cost more to be a swordsman. scythe, ackly hammer, all gonna cost some big cash. But atleast the scythe schematic is pretty easy to get with a friend.
