Thread: Just an idea, plz don't laugh at me :P
Maybe the idea of a throwing knife could be used to act as a longer lunge. So, that we can stop a ranged runner and get to them. Can extend the range on it to the range we can follow at. Would creat a posture down like lunge. Would be more realistic than just extending our range on lunge. Think something along these lines has been mentioned before--hamstring hit?

LOL
I just had a vision on a seen in the 3 Musketeers.
Athos: "Hey check out my new sword technique"
Athos then throws his Rapier at the straw dummy pierceing its heart.
Aramis: "Only Athos would devise an attack that would disarm himself"
Or something along those lines ![]()
I dont know if any of you have read it or not but in one of the newer Starwars Books called Shatter Point ,wich i believe takes place a few months after the second movie, Mace Windu has a foe who is force sensitive and he and all of his warriors use vibro blades and vibro shields attatched at their fore arms.
I think that could be a valid idea and it could be placed within the master fencing tree so that dabblers wouldnt be able to equip the shield effectively unless they were a blade master. what do you guys think?
that was uncalled for: when you hit alliteration, you know it's time to end the post.
as i was talking to him, another declared imperial came through, sending his pets after me and once i reacted (i wasn't watching the radar during my conversation) he kited me, incapped, and then a deathblow. and just before that i had had a duel with someone in full composite. and even worse, my autofollow doesn't work at the moment. it merely turns out my auto-run. lunge is good, but it's only good enough to get in one attack. so i can make them kneel, bleed them, and then they kill me by kiting again.
without autofollow working (and usually even with) it's just not feasible to win a fight no matter how good you are. i haven't found a way, anyway. i should have used my pets, i guess. but that always feels so crappy.
i really think the /stick would be best. that way we don't have a 15 meter range with a short blade, and if they truly can move faster than us, they'll get away, which i think is fair. yeah, the on screen animation might be weird, but i'm willing to lose that for the chance of winning. /stick 4m, then burst run, then wail away. if they're faster on their feet (Exploration IV on a moutainside for instance) they can get away.
/slap... that's a good idea. if i can't catch them to kill them, i can at least give everyone watching a show.
