I used to be CM/Rifleman and it wasn't that great. The slow speed of the rifle makes your heals slow which kinda takes a lot of power out of CM.

Spraystick is what any rifleman worth their salt will use when healing. Due to the fast speed unsliced they are also used to lay states like dizzy or stun on you. I have no problem healing anyone in time using a spraystick although the AP0 kinda sucks.


A good rifleman will attempt to lay a dizzy then throw a posture down (/suppressionfire). If I can switch from my jawa fast enough this is what I use to counter melee charging me. Well that and alot of praying.

When you attempt to do a knockdown it sets itself on a 30sec timer before you can use it again effectively. The works on posture downs (lunge1 and 2) but not quite sure about the TK knockdown. I know those guys cant double tap it or it will set a person back on his feet without the dizzy loop. This also applies to ranged professions posture down abilities.

It has nothing to do with dizzy, its a strict KD/posture change bug, nothing to do with dizzy.



And that 30 seconds only applies if you succeed

My opinion is a little different than the one above. I would say go 0004 tka for the range/melee defense and go 4340 doc to heal states/poisons/disease at anytime (compared to the meditate skill which you couldn't use while fighting), plus you can buff yourself. If you don't want to worry about buffing yourself, do 4040 doc to heal, and do 3004 tka for the powerboost skill. With the second suggestion (Mfencer, 4040 doc, 3004 tka) you could still use meditate after the battle to heal up wounds and what not. Just my 2 cents.

My experence against CM are not so good, but I am slowly learning how to fight against them. Here is some tips that I learn from many killed by CM.


1.Know who is CM, before they attack. It is very important to know who is your first target is. I usually will target the CM before I go into the fight. Usually CM are using group tef, so they wont get kill before they throw their poison or diesease. In tef fighting, go ahead duel with your friends first, and then charge to CM. Try to incap CM as soon as possible. After you got kill and got poison and disease, just tell your friend come db you.

2. Grief the CM. Doesn't matter how honor you are or how god your template it is. You will got kill by CM. If you don't want get poison every ten minutes, you better grief the CM.

3. CM can't throw poison or diseasewhen he didn't sees you. That means hide behind the walls, buildings, houses, and what ever it takes.

4. CM can't throw poison and diesease when theyare on their kneel. Yessuppression shot, buy some times to kill them.

5. Get a doctor !

Me and a friend have done this from the beginning of the poison disease thingy.....I run around like a chicken w my head cut off trying to attract the fire...He's an MDoc/MCM, fight fire with fire i guess, while theyre poisoning us, he poisons them, then heals us. CM is tough to counter......tougher than rifleman, fencer, whatever.....they can lay waste to a party from 30m further than anyone else.If at all possible though make a fight that stays at 90m range, CM vs CM.

ive killed several riflemen/cm and let me try to give you some insights...

first of all my template is master fencer/doctor which helps a lot when fighting a CM/riflemen.. usually disease and poison will only do 1 tick if that on you before you cancel it out if you are master doc.. after you cancel it its just catch up to them and dizzy/lunge them down because CM/riflemen gives you almost no defense vs KD.

if you aren't master doc the only thing that i can think of is to burst run to the cm/riflemen as fast as possible and kd/dizzy him and try to kill him before your mana pool goes to hell... eating/drinking/spicing to your full potential will buy you some extra time too as well as unequipping all your armor exept for like chest/helm to decrease ham penaltys.

I like master fencer/tk 4004/master pistoleer, a good ranged/melee combo imo.


For the most part it all sounds good to me. Fyi sorlo u have to have meditate 4 toheal ur wounds.
