Thread: stun armor and psg's

When I read this the only words that come to mind are "What are youn smoking?"


You have been "blessed" with being given stun damage as your main damage type, the BEST a person can get is a 45% Imperial PSG thing and 37% stun composite armor, now compare that to the 90% composite armor that almost everyone else (not riflemen and pistoleers) has to deal with. Do the math, you are coming out WAY ahead of everyone else, becaues on top of that 90%, the PSG which you are bitching about deflects other damage typestoo.


You were just a near unstopable profession for a while, and although that may have been fun for a while, it was imbalancing. Fencers were not nerfed at all with the introduction of PSG's and stun armor, which is a good thing I don't like nerfs, I'd rather a work around for imbalances.CM's are now the top PvP dogs and you are complaining because you have been replaced.


Perhaps if you want to be unstopable in PvP you should become a CM, until the combat rebalance, and then who knows whats gonna happen.

from what i see your not even a fencer so why are you here? you obviously dont understand whats happening. its exactly what Straker said it really effects us. besides although other proffesions are stuck with other damage types they are also heavy damage doers which greatly helps, were we do not have that boost.

I hope armor is really nerfed. I liked PvP way better when everyone was unbuffed/unarmored.

Actually a 40% psg is worse for you in PvP against a fencer (but good forcountering rifles) Remember that psg's decay extremely fast according to how much damage they take and while its nice that its shaving off all of that damage its also going to hit 0 very fast and become useless very fast. Its only good to have a psg this high if you have no other stun layered armor or mulitple psg's that you can swap out quickly in a fight.


Our CoB means the fight is going to be a prolonged one and having a psg last as long as possible goes a long way. These same tactics apply to fencer vs. fencer or fencer vs. pistoleer. AP is surprisingly not understood by soooo many people in this game so get to know it people! Especially since overlay AP bonus will be instated soon (you'll be fearing T21's instead of jawas in the future).


Stun damage is a voodoo type damage. Many people are surprised by it but after you get to know it its all just mumbo jumbo and easy to counter.

ok welll i was rifleman/fencer along time ago b4 poeple besides hard hardcore pvprs wore psgs and stun composite, i didnt have a sutn baton for along long long long time because something hadnt spawnd since server start. i had a good dmg sliced jawa and +10 rifle speed, dmg sliced gaffi to. keep in mind this is b4 geonosian cave was released. and fencer was still raelly good in pvp. i m still master fencer today, i dont own as many people as i did with rifleman but i still own alot of poeple. u say u dont like how stun resist items r coming out?, on my server(tempest) we have people with effectivnes lsiced imp proto psg's that go up to 65% stun, +37% stun layered suits. i still own 75% of the opposing faction taht i run into, and maybe 50-60% of my faction.i also have these tricked out stun items along with some very nice food to go along as well. if u have a problem with someone hitting u to much because u do to little dmg i suggest getting some pikatta pie, its around 50%+ increased chance to dodge. and stay in your ideal ranges not theres. rifleman do around 90 dmg to me with headshot and i have no mitigation. best jawa on my server which is around 600max i believe does around 120-140 dmg. its a war on who has the nicest stuff. i spend around maybe 1-2mil a week on food,armor,weapons stims/cures/stateheals. and i m not even the best pvpr. if u ranked my server i would proly be in the 30-50 range maybe not if i could get ahold of a better baton, dot weapons r key and warcry will be useful again come tuesday. if u can kd a person stick dots and states then warcry so your dots can tick maybe once or twice then reapply them sounds like someone is a pvp newb if u ask me but i dont know for sure

Cry me a river please the best you can get your stun layer armor to is 40% and with a PSG it can get to 70-80% welcome to the world that the other classes have to live in with PvP you have TKAs who have one type of dmg and armor now can get as high as 90% makin them do little of nothing in damage welcome to the world of PvP that most of us have been living in for months with this outragious armor running around

Stun baton (AP 0)


Composite armor (AP1)


Stun baton (AP 0) vs. Composite armor with a stun resist or 5% = 50% automatic reduction for being 1 AP under and then shave of another 5%


Stun baton (AP 0) vs Composite armor with stun resist of 40% = 50% automatic reduction


A stun baton hits the 5% armor for a total of 200 points of damage. 200 x .5 = 100 (the ap reduction). Now the 100 points have to be checked against the 5% sooo 100 x .05 = 95 total points of damage actually made it through.


A stun baton hits the 40% armor for a total of 200 points of damage. 200 x .5 = 100 (the ap reduction). Now the 100 points have to be checked against the 40% sooo 100 x .4 = 60 points of damage actually made it through.


This does not account for mitigation, toughness, block, or any other innate reduction ability. Teras Kai Masters have a +250 unarmed damage bonus but fencers do NOT.


Welcome to OUR world of PvP. If you had ever learned to do your homework you might actually be good at PvP but since you are going to base your griefs on uneducated hearsay you'll never be able to take down the real PvP masters. Have a nice day
