as for hijacking the thread.... the devs probably wont respond to it anyway so somebody might as well. :-)
we don't want the devs to respond, anyway. at least i wouldn't. i'm scared of what rude malapropisms my fellow fencers might spew at them. it's a good thing they mostly deal with our correspondent, who is an articulate and lexicographically secure lass.
i bet devs have to drink their lunch most days. hmm... that might explain some of the funnier bugs.

and, on the mouse vs. keyboard issue, mouse all the way. the optical abilities are amazing with the mouse.
mouse is never as fast as keyboard, bottom line. i have an optical mouse. if i want to follow the group leader, i press g then f. that's faster than selecting and holding, and selecting follow. and even with optical mice, you misclick.
i'm not attacking mouse users, really. i understand it's more comfortable. but i will stand by that a fast mouse user will always lose to a fast keyboard user. but you have to go with what you like.
but when you get to the point where your gamepad has so many buttons, how is it really so different from a keyboard?
basically it's six up and half a dozen down. i just can't do what you do.
I have very fast thumbs. Two thumbs up for gamepads! All my left thumbwas good for in a PC gamewas the "Use" function that I always assign to the spacebar.Now with my N50 Speedpad, myleft thumb has 8 directions on the d-pad that it can go. Thumbs like d-pads and analog sticks.
My thumb ishappy to be useful again.

Hehehe let me say this ... Use the force, Altair, use the force. OR ...Reach out to the consoles with your force, Altair.
Anyways, you can put stuff on the macro. Seem to work well for PvPers and some high level fencers.
