As melee you have to pick your fights sometimes. If you get caught off guard, take cover in an area where they will be forced into melee range. Always be familiar with the area you are in so you can use it to your advantage. If they try to kite, run the opposite direction out of their range as well, and look for cover to your advantage.

It's not easy by any means, but if you get them in range, god help them.

Im kind of sick hearing people askin for advice and everytime they are told to 1)get buffed 2)get such and such armor and so on. How does that make you better in duels? Youbegin to relyWAY TOO MUCH on enhancements. Almost ANYONE can win in duels with the right enhancements, but that doesnt make you better. It's aboutgoin against the odds and learning new strategies. You can't get better if you always have the upper hand, you learn nothing from winning. I mean, say you do get buffed, get all that top of the line armor, all those nifty enhancement food(i must admit that i do use brandy...and if i can get my hands on the def vs kd food) and lose in a duel against someone who isn't high and drunk on the stuff your on...you feel awful. One night on Dant, we had a lil dueling club going, and some guy(a tkm)kept pestering my friend about something. He dueled my friend and lost, and came back wanting revenge. After buffing himself again, he whined to my friend, and suddenly, i get a messege on my screen that he wants to duel me. So, hes buffed and has armor on, and I think, what the hell. Now, the only foods i use mainly are brandy in duels, so I drink two, hit my CoB macro and accept.I quickly dizzy lunge him, using warcry when he gets up, blind, intimidate, etc...as my HAM go down, i quickly heal myself, and he does to, this goes on, and finally, I incapped him before he could heal himself. What I'm saying is when you DO win duels like that, you feel proud of yourself. So, the best way to get better is to experiment on what to do. Shout out, 'Anyone want to have a friendly duel, no db'. If you lose, check the combat log and see what happened.Did you use intimidate? blind? dizzy? CoB? Again, it all comes down to experience.
