Thread: Fencer new flavor of the month....? Hop on the Bandwagon
Uh... jedi's can only be jedis... not other profs. I too have recently changed from commando to fencer.. I see a guy that is a rifle/fencer and keeping TKA 4004.. useless the def stack is capped at 125.. rifle and fencer masters will put u at about 120 in each... I had to go with the TKA 4300... it boosts yer status defences, +20 to KD and also gives u an unarmed KD to go with that dizzy u get.
FOTM is the DEVELOPERS fault. I was a commando master and it was what I WANTED to play.. but 167 pts for no defence and only rockets for pvp was nuts. Now with my so called FOTM I am shocked to no end.. I ran outta space on my toolbar for once. It is nuts coming from where I was to spending the same amount of points for things that WORK.
The devs have only fixed 5 profs as it stands in the combat realm. Fencer, Swordsman, CM (??), Rifleman, and TKA.. Everyone can master 2-3 of these as they are only 92 pts... That is why u will see so many as 1 of the 5... carbineers are up and coming and so they could be soon number 6.
For those of us that do nothing but pvp... u have to go with what WORKS. I tried to keep my commano but it became a case of, keeping it would not allow me to pvp anymore and I would had to of quit cause of boredom. The FOTM allows us to still compete in the war.

honrestly im not concerned with the pve aspect of fencer. I am a master rifleman if i cant kill it with a rifle before it gets close enough to hit me from melee range then i needed something to at least give me a few seconds to kite out of there since i lag horrribly so often in combat. a few status effects a dizzy knockdown and a few dozen meters of distance gets me far enough away to switch back to my rifle and gain distance. Or if i get tired of the chase a nice old fashion stun baton beating would be nice to deal an already weakened opponent. ![]()
I am working on a PvP template. currently master rifleman, master fencer, and tka 4 3 look to be my best options. But i really enjoy the fencing class i just wish i could figure out the right balance for my ham.

I have been many things in game, all non-holo except heavy sword. But fencer was the first back at the release of the game. I was 3 boxes from mastering. When i dropped it go weaponsmith. Back then we had so little defenses and power was nothing. Now im back to see the changes and finish what i started June 26th.
