When my playstyle requires massive XP, I put on a set of marine armor. 30% base, but every piece is sliced so it's all close to 40% and pretects me from just about every attack, so it does wonders in PvE and PvP.

The only problem is the specials need to be toned down a little.

However, If I spice on moun gold and buff my mind to increadible stats, I can special all I want wearing full armor. Since I can use stim-d's I heal and the moun gold keeps the mind high.. Even with full healing and spamming speacials, I can take out big stuff.

I only wear chitin gloves and its really wierd those gloves deflect a lot more hits then you would expect. I also have tantel boots cause my thinking was if something is attackig my legs it prolly be an energy weapon. Both are part of my clothes and never take them off.

I'm not sure if this counts as real armor since it breaks far too quickly... but a mk.3 shield generator that has no emcumbrance and about 30% against most things is all I wear. Just gotta remember that with AR1 or AR2 weapons, armor becomes less and less effective, and I'd rather have a high strenghth/stamina and focus then armor that's not doing much.

I am currently working on getting Master Doctor so the encumbrances on most stats won't matter with buffs, but I am wondering if any other Doc/Fencers have tried wearing advanced composite.

If you max your mind and mind related stats can you still be effective while wearing the helm? (I know i can use muon gold, but i really hate throwing up =P) Advanced composite is a big investment for me so just hoping for a little guidance before taking the plunge. =)

my setup is 49% ubese half sliced forHAM (haven't gotten the rest redone yet). I don't wear a helm because of the massive focus/willpower costs, since my helm got a resist slice, ugh. I can do very well if I don't style heavy with my armor on. I even have enough mind to throw off some nice heals.

dont know if u guys try this or not? the armor encmb is not really a issue for me. i eliminate the problem by combe un-equip armor macro with style macro.although i am a tka buti think it should worksfor everyclass out there. the macro need to have all your armor place onto toolbar and combine ur style with it

for example: unarmedknockdown1

/ui action toolbarSlot## , repeat this command as many times as the number of your armor and the ## is the slot where your armor piece is placed,

/unarmedknockdown1;, or what ever style you are using

/ui action toolbarSlot##, after the style had launch without the penalty of armor encumb re-equip.

although there is a brief gap between the un-equip and re-equip of armor, but i think the dmgyou recieve from theenemy would be less than the extra ham require for the style. therefore effectively by using this macro you can obtain advantages from both the protection of armor and the lacks of encumb when un-armored. but you cant spam special too much other wise the un-equip and re-equip process will start jumble together, and it create a little extra lag due to the rapid change of graphic.

there is also a macro for healing. due the fact i am a zarabk my mind could regenerate within 10-15secs from each use of stim b i could spam stim b every 15 secs, and another thing is you can run while healing which makes this macro very useful both in engagement and escape.

/healdamage;

/pause 15;

/ui action toolbarSlot23; i place this macro on my shift+f12 you can adjust according to your choice

basically every time i go into a fight i start this macro and start attacking the enemy, when the fight is finish i simply do a /dump, i also create three different level of healing macro with different delay and toggle it depened enemy's dmg. of course you can also apply the un-equip macro onto it but it might jumble the process when u use special at the same time.
