Thread: Stun Batton anyone!?
As far as tantel goes, the types of resists randomly shift. So even though you bought a tantel armor with all resists, as soon as you log or take a shuttle, you will likely lose that stun resistance. Armorsmiths have no control over what types of resists are on tantel and PSGs. Many have spent hours making them until the got one will all resists, then stuck them on a vendor or factory produced them and gotten different resists. If you pull out 20 from the same crate, they will likely all have different resists from each other and the schematic used to make them. Its been tested with PSGs, where if you take a shuttle the types of resists will change.
As far as a stun layer goes, if one was used, stun would appear in the special protection category, not the effectiveness category which is where I assume you saw it. Also, thereare bugs regarding layers and scales, so not many people use them. In addition to adding encumbrance, layers move a damage type the layer corresponds to, to the special protection section where it can be worse than it was before and cannot be raised with experimentation. Also, if the damage type was a vulnerability before (stun is always supposed to be a vulnerability on player crafted armor), then the armor will appear to have some stun resist in the special protection, but the armors vulnerability coded into the armor will override it. Thus the stun layered armor looks to have stun resists, but it doesn't.
Hi,
I am a fencer on Chilastra. My current stun baton is:

+5:+5:+5

Not bad at all.
