if you are thinking about stacking defences by mastering all three, its not a good idea just a waste of skill points

so no it is not a good template

My template hasn't let me down:

Master Brawler
Master Swordsman
TK 4304
Fencer 2440
Medic 2000

249SP usage

When Phase II rolls around again, I'm going to drop down to Fencer 1440 to free up a total of four SP to give me five to play with, then pick up either two or three levels of FS Melee Speed to cap me without having to wear an ubese bando (I have +4 spd in a belt, +6 in a shirt, so +9 would put me on a nice keel)

Then, I'll eventually drop to Fencer 0440 and pick up Luck, possibly.

If I wanted to, I could even further drop to TK 4300, and pick up Medic 2040 for Stim-Ds (which is dual-purpose, it'll allow me to earn FS Senses xp faster for Luck).

Melee/Ranged defs mean absolutely NOTHING against high-level adversaries (you're going to get hit whether your defs are +25 or +125, even when you manage to blind a high-level target, they're going to hit you 90% of the time) - if the game for you entails grinding Mokk/Janta/Rancors/Etc, then fixed defs are somewhat important (missing means marginally less armor decay for you), but high-ticket mobs ignore them completely - don't even bother CoBing against anything higher than an Initiate - you're just wasting a turn cycle CoBing. Just intim, intim, intim...

The only defenses that matter in high-level PvE are state defenses (Dodge, Block, and Counter are ALL ignored by high-level mobs, hence the earlier denounciation of CoB in high-level PvE), and my template has quite a lot of them.

Ideally, I'd like an end-game template to be the following:

Master Brawler
Master Swordsman
TK 4300
Fencer 0440
Medic 2040
Combat Prowess 0024 (or maybe even 0204 to give me more flexibility if I ever decide to go ranged, and I don't PvP, so accuracy isn't as important)
Heightened Senses 0004

Sure, I'd get hit all the damn time by low-tier stuff, but buffs mitigate that.

The only danger to the above template is how melee/ranged defs will factor in post-CB.

Depends if you want to pvp or pve. Pvp I would go for fencer or Tk. Pve no melee beats a swordsman. I am Swordsman doc and can solo anything. Today I killed the acklay, 3 gorax, and a giant canyon krayt, so not too bad. All I looted was a bone armor schem, and some krayts scales so my luck was bad, but as you can see swordsmen own pve.

Swordsman is really only good to pick up, if it's going to be your main form of combat. Otherwise, you don't get much from it.
