They dont suck becasue they do stun dmg. It kinda like a trade of high dmg for a stun dmg that rips through all the people with comp armor hehe.

No..... they do suk... Ok, its nice to have a weapon that does some other form of damage that kinetic but **edit** should we have to put up with **edit**e damage and **edit**e HAM costs just to do that? Most other combat professions get a decent weapon with alternative damage types so why dont we get that?

Since the only time when using a stun baton is worth it is PVP, those who do pvp will know that ure mind goes in about 5 seconds when ure swinging a stun baton so then ure force to use fishnak / muon gold. Even then, if u fight 1 buffed person in armour and kill him ull be pretty low on mind from the encounter.

Tuskenssuck, I believe we are on the same server. Where did you get an unsliced Gad-stick with 2.5 speed? I'd like one of those.--Feck

Hi,

Stun Batons are actually quite awesome as a secondary weapon. I always have it like a sidearm. Never leave home without it, because you will regret it when you meet L/M AP mob/NPC with high kinetic resists.

Mauler Masters for instance is a good example. With kinetic weapons, they are going to be standing long enough to bleed/KD and other specials. You probably won't die, but you will end up with lots of wounds. (Yes they can pullMeleeHit2/3 on you)

Few Dantooine lizards have medium AP and high kinetic resists. Without a stun baton, you won't be able to kill them without being cheezy with bleeds. I don't find it so enlightening to wait for them to bleed to death. Besides, they sometimes come in more than one. Then you will be in for a long sit-and-wait. And be running around looking for a doctor to heal your disease. ... Yuck!

Probably you city-slickers won't meet these naughty unfriendly neighbors, but once you start going very far from civilizations you will be more comfortable with a sidearm like a stun baton.

P.S. Take few muons.
