Thread: How do I deal with root
I think root is a cheap move and i get whooped every time they use it
my recommendation is to use center of being and keep healed and keep them blinded.
Then use burst run the catch up with them
You could also use Pappabear's trick too but I'm sure that is a bug =P.

if you're dueling/one on one - you shouldn't be losing every time (i've yet to lose to a root at all, in fact!)
keep cob on. no cob=death. keep good 1000+ stims handy. use a stim as you approach 1/4 of your health gone (so that the timer can reset and you can use them again before you're dead).
outlive the root, burst run, KD, cripple, bind, armor break (if you have it), body hit/critical hit. if he pulls out of 5m range before you can kill him, use lunge for as long as you can (10m range).
as tkm/mFencer/mSword - only once a has a duel lasted longer than 2 roots for me, and that was against a smuggler with concussion shot out in the open in coro. it lasted long enough to use at least 8 to 10 stims! he could root/snare me, but with cob + innate armor he kept pecking away veeeery slowly.
i lured him into an area with a lot of statues and fountains, stored up my action + burst run,lived out that root and KD'd/armor break/went totown with critical/headhits -i took downat least 2500 of his health in just a few hits (powerhammer).
yeah, root can be a bast4rd, but you get close to a ranged player and it's over.

I decared my faction and PVPed a BH/Pistoleer (solo me vs him nothing to bother us). He had root and KD. He had a powerful weapon. I am PURE melee. Took him out using this method and survived with 1/4 health left. If you wondering what professions I am its: Master Brawler/Swords/TKM Fencer 4400, Enhanced Refexes 4200. Unless scout is REALLY necessary I would get rid of it for more swordsman skills.

^^ again. Bad idea don't use same attack twise. It slows the recycle time. I would use your second strongest attack. Then use Adcance Body hit again.
They get up. Use bleed attacks. Make sure to keep on healing and re-CoB.
They shoot me. Nothing to say here lol.
I die. In this case u might live.
If it wasnt for root I could probably at least be more competitive.
What can I do to be more competitive?
TKM, MF, MB Swords xx11, scout 3xx2 (I think)
