just looted a black metal gaffi baton from a tusken observer. dont know anything about it, any comments would be helpful. here are stats unsliced:
Condition - 1000/1000
Light Armor Piercing
3.8 Attack Speed
48 Min Dmg
148 Max Dmg
11% Wound
Special Attack Cost
40 Health
33 Action
13 Mind

I thought the max condition on loot weapons was 750? Man I must be getting old...SOE changes things and I dont even notice anymore...

can some one explain how much difference in damage AP gives???
and can you post a screeny of that gaffi?

a better looking vibro blade without the cool noice of the vibro blade? bah i say. bah! The stats are worse than a normal crafted vibro blade, but it would look awesome to use. I want a screenie too.

AP 1 = +25% Damage to AP 0 Targets
AP 1 = No Damage Modifier to AP 1 Targets
AP 1 = -50% Damageto AP 2 Targets
AP 1 = -50% + -50% Damage to AP 3 Targets
AP0 =No Damage Modifier toAP0 Targets
AP0 = -50% Damageto AP1 Targets
AP0 = -50% + -50% Damageto AP2 Targets
AP0 = -50% + -50% + -50% Damageto AP3 Targets
To Clarify all Player armor including composite are classed as AP 1
only creatures have AP 2 or greater.
So in Numbers, a AP 0 weapons hitting a AP 3 Target Does 1000 Damage, Modifer would -50%(500), -50%(250), -50%(125) reduce the damge taken to 125.
Then if a AP 1 weapons hits a AP 0 Target does 1000 Damage, Modifier would +25%(1250) would increase the damage taken to 1250.
This is why a T21 Rifle (AP3) is better than a Laser Rifler (AP2) even though thier damage numbers are in a similar range.
