· Are you knowledgeable about theFencer profession?
· Are you a community leader?
· Can you objectively identify relevant issues and distinguish them from simply passionate arguments?
· Do you like organizing information and corresponding with other members of a community?
The Development Team is looking for a volunteer correspondent for the Fencer Profession. Participation is completely voluntary and you can stop helping out at any time. We’re just looking for someone who can help us sort through the various issues for this profession.
Some things that you need to consider when applying:
· Developing online games takes a long time. Results happen over long time involvement.
· Player Correspondents should be leaders in their community and set a positive tone.
· Player Correspondents should understand the technical aspects of playing the profession and the needs of their community.
· Player Correspondents should be in touch with the communities concerns, understanding the essence of why players pursue their chosen profession.
If this is something you are interested in, please write a short paragraph on why you think you would be a good candidate and email it to [email protected]. Please put Fencer Correspondent in the Subject Line. By submitting this email to us, you agree to allow us to contact you in connection with Star Wars Galaxies and agree that all correspondence with and material submitted to SOE will be the exclusive property of SOE and SOE may use such materials without limitation and in its sole discretion.
After we have reviewed the submissions, we will pick one person to be our correspondent. We will set them up with a special community title here on the forums and ask them to help highlight for us the relevant issues relating to this profession.
We will still continue to monitor the forums and read as many threads as we can. The correspondent is just to help us focus on the top issues and community concerns of the profession.
Thank you.

I really wish KaliMirchi would reconsider not trying for the position, I think she has the right stuff to do a good job.
hehehehehe Cad ---is this a euphamism for - she's an opinionated, hard headed bi**h? lololololoolol ![]()
(smooch)
Honestly, I could't devote the time that a correspondent should -- it's somethin' ya just can't do half-assed...
Seena who, every night, does her "Please come back Raphael" chant 3 times over...
You would think that this would be a compensated positionor at least one where the work and gathered imput was actualy taken into consideration.
The Dev's dont seem to listen to the correspondents or apreciate their hard work from what I can tell and was told by a few correspondents them selfs.
I dont think it would be unreasonable to pay a correspondent for the work they do. What are they useing all the money they make off of us on ? I think if they had some money invested in the players needs department they may listen more.
Maybe they should make a poll on ALL upcomming changes NERFS or Idea's and let the players vote on them?
/votes NO on more NERF's.
/votesYES on more working content.
Maybe a word of caution is in order for those considering applying for the position of correspondent. First thing you need to have isTIME, and I lot of it, to devote to the job and the community. Second is PATIENCE, you're gonna get frustrated to the point of quitting probably once a week. Third, is THICK SKIN, cause you're gonna get handed a lotta crap from the community (dammed if you do and dammed if you don't sort of thing). Lastly, you gonna need an above averageunderstanding of fencer profession, I mean how it reallyworks, the good stuff and the bad stuff about the profession and how the specials are calcuated etc notjust (I've but a fencer for a long time) thing.
So, its a very tough job with little or no reward, other than the fact that you feel you've contributed to the community in some small way. Which IMO is enough reward. So good luck to those who are applying, I wish you well and hope to deal with our new correspondent shortly.

If there's anything at all that I have, it's time, patience, and thick skin.
