And because no new threads have been added to the forum in the last little while...

What do you fencers enjoy doing that uses your fencer skills? Do you like to take PvE missions for credits, do you PvP, etc... ?

I've spent the last few weeks tanking with ranged guildmates, both PvE and (a little) PvP, and am having a blast at it. That's what I feel like my toon was meant to do.

Anyone else?

For the last few weeks, I've been helping guildies in hunts while tanking for them, and helping people at the Village tanking Sith Shadows. I haven't PvP'ed in a while cause I honestly got bored with it, but I've been taking new Fencers out on missions helping them to level up.

So yeah, I've been pretty busy helping out folks with my skills, and I couldn't be happier.

Heh nice thread man. Lately i been pvping alot myself,but i been trying to do more quest and stuff lately.

That's been my main purpose lately... helping guildmates finish quests such as the warren. I get a kick out of being the guy that's able to run into a room (other than the turret

) first without much of a worry.

Now if only Valcyn would drop some better fencer weapons.....

I have a lot of fun tanking for newbies with my 0 condition gaffi. I tag along on squill missions out of Eisley, park myself in front of the squill and /center...

PVP for teh win

Yeah i pvp alot thats the reason i got fencer. Since you cannot find pvp action 24/7 i tank alot for the ranged and jedis of my guild. quit fun to, but not as fun PVP.

Now that I've hit master stances and grips I use scatter hit quite a bit. While we don't have anything that targets the mind pool (and until the CU) this one works great against folks that use their specials. I've also got a health poison vb that I use along with health hit... especially against carbineers.

I made my character a fencer/doc to do two things

- tank everything

- and have fun dueling jedi

I love hanging out around one of the most active cities on my server dueling everyone. I learn stuff i try it out and i put it to good use. That is what i do mostly now. I also found out that i can tank ancient krayts with no problem too

i usually spend my time PvEing against things that most people think that fencers wouldnt do good against

which is pretty much everything, because most of the people who have never been fencer are ignorant and think it is supposed to be used for defences only.

but i personally like to take out the big mobs

such as NS (or basically anything from dath) GDK (just found out today after testing out my new RIS helm that i could solo these as fencer, its just meditating the disease off that bugs me)

ive tried krayts before, didnt succed, but recently ive learned some more tricks for fencers (or all bralwers) that would do good against a krayt (intim. 2 + 1 hand hit 3 spam :smileywink

well yeah it is easy to solo GDK and stuff like that just takes a bit to long for my tast
