Curved sword and ryyk (or however that's spelled..) don't have AP... do they? I know for sure curved swords do not.

Looks pretty good, but I completely disagree with using muon as a staple in pvp. I want to throw some opinions out here.

Vasarian brandy is a must. I don't know if any other drinks that are necessary for pvp, but Brandy is definitely one. A good chef can make 45 minute brandy that can be consumed two at a time and will leave your stomach completely before the effect of the drink is done. I drink brandy constantly throughout my time pvping. Now yes, if you die, you will probably only be able to drink one once you rez, but brandy is a staple in pvp.

Blue milk is a waste. There's a food named vercupti that is 50 fill that adds 1000 to health action and mind that should be used instead. Vercupti and muon should only be used in circumstances where the fight is close and you may win with the aid of the food or spice. However if you eat vercupti and die, you'll likely not be pvping for a while as your stomach will be full. Muon downers will kill you, regardless whether they last a minute or 3 minutes. You must be smart with it. Synth steak lasts about an hour and should also be consumed as soon as you enter the game. You can typically find pvp within your first hour, and if you die, you want to make sure your stomach is as empty as possible when you do.

Pikatta pie substantially increases your chance to dodge. The beauty of dodge is they completely miss you, lessening the chances of being hit with a poison, disease or fire dot. Dots are the killers in this game. A combatant with only fencer as their attack type in pvp is worthless withoutDots. With the state of buffs, stun armor, and psg's, Stun damage isn't enough to kill anyone. Trust me on this one. There have been many occasions I have taken out multiple players solo using pikatta pie. Drives people crazy not being able to hit you. Dodge food is mandatory in large battles. You can dodge even on your back.

Dizzy knockdown kills me 90% of the time in this game. If you have the means to get novice doctor do it. Curing dizzy is crucial to survival if you're not a stacker type.

Fencer is all about defense. If you have melee skills, I highly recommend you stick to pikes, Vk's, or Swords if you've got the means for speed tapes, to do the majority of your damage.

I can agree with you on those points, but like I said... I had no problems PvPing against any template with the food and drink I used... and I stated before... the Guide is not the go to source for PvP, I'll add all noted additions and credit them... However, what is in the guide has never failed me, even in extensive testing against Jedi... Friends of mine of course, and I would like to thank all of those who have added input on this... we all know how much we hate the repeat threads on templates and foods... I haven't been in-game in a bit... I'll try to keep it up to date and add in entries from everyone... My next section will include armor attachements and powerups for weapons.

Thanks for all the advice...

Ill check into the m.Fencer / m. Combat Medic although I had a few friends who had something to that effect. I'll update again tonight.

Thanks again for all the input!

I'm pretty certain Vibro blades, and rare drops of a black gaffi stick are the only weapons with armor piercing, but pvp wise, I've never seen these used except to apply dots.

FYI: Dodge food does not actually affect your dodge...it actually is the % the enemy will MISS you. 50% dodge food= 50% miss before accuracy mods of enemy.

Devs have affirmed this.

Also, as a VERY VERY successful fencer PvPer(my template being: Master Fencer/Sword/Brawler Medic 2xxx, artisan xx3x), I can honestly say you people that insist DOTs are the way to go you are foolish and naive. A fencer with dots will get no respect...just another fart in the wind.

What he said about DoTs are pretty true, it kinda makes me laugh whenever they keep trying to apply poisons and disease to me or groupies (Im master doctor). Another Note though: If you do take CM/Pikeman, prepare to be useless against docs

Im not a fencer, but I thought i'd help ya.

Character builder: http://swgcb.yogn.net/swg-cb.php?prof_id=1

Templates

-Master Fencer/Cm 0004/Doc 4030
Good defenses, cure anystate, and poisons for whom dont go down with baton

-Master Fencer/Pistoleer 0040/Doc 4030
Excellent defense, cure anystate, I played this on TC-Ahazi, never lost a melee duel untill I ran out of dizzy packs and dropped Pistoleer because everything was getting too easy - This is a truly awesome template

-Master Fencer/Master Pikeman
Good defense, you can switch off with pikes and 1 hand untill you get all the DoTs you want on them

-Master Fencer/Master Carbineer
Good defense, you can start up with a carbine, spamming wild shot, full auto single or area, then charge shot to kd them

-Master Fencer/Master Pistoleer
Excellent defense, though you can only really benefit from 0040 in pistoleer

-Master Fencer/Bh 3040/Pistoleer 0040
Excellent defense, you can hunt jedi, you can start up a battle by running in with torso shot, then switch to baton, and if your target starts running switch to pistol - I would image this as a truly awesome template

Fighting Ranged Players

Ok, so most ranged players will run when they fight, I have yet to find a ranged player who will acctualy stand there and take the punishment.

Your best friend for fighting ranged players is lunge 1 or 2, intimidate 1 or 2, and warcry 1 or 2, but if they are blasting you at 40m there is little you can do.

What I have came up with is a sort of "guidelines", Ranged > Melee, Melee > Jedi, Jedi > Ranged, I dont encourage you to hunt alone, i'd suggest being in groups with 1-2 jedi, 3-4 rifleman, and 3-4 meleers, at the least.

Hope this helps ya

Edit: added character builder site

Well, anyone who says a fencer with dots gets no respect doesn't care for winning much. I've been a fencer for 9 months, and the moment they fixed scatterhit, it's been near impossible to kill without them, even with a 290 - 466 stun baton. Live with this fact, or just take the fencer lines that give you extra defenses.

Then I'm sorry, PvP is not your thing. I have a 260something min, 438max stunner and I ruin most everything (only thing that I cannot kill with it are TKMs with stacked defenses...but hey everyone has a weakpoint).

I win alot...14 seperate rebels killed 2 nights ago by myself in just that night. If you cannot succeed with that badass stunner of yours, i suggest a new template.

You just gotta know your stuff.

This is one reason I hate reading the fencer forums...too many ppl writing about where to get DoTs and stuff.
