Thread: tka rocks compared to fencer
Alright, i just want to know before i get into this who profession...
What excactly is the highest thing that you can solo? I've heard of swordsmen doing like 5k damage and kiling kimos and krayts.
But what can we do? I know that fencer is kind of the "defense" profession while TKA is "defense" and "offense" ![]()
I don't see why all of you are complaining about the tka's offense? they have so much toughness that it is pretty amazing. They could beat fencer's without even kd/dizzying them
well anyways...i'm gonna quit the fencer profession...so...yeah.
I have not tried with fencingbut im going to try to hunt Bull Rancors for teeth soon, and try to perfect a soloing method. i fully exspect to die multiple times, until i get a good strategy down.
as a TKM the highest thing i soloed was a Dark Jedi Master, from the imperial prison missions. TKA does rock, no question about it. Its just not very rare atm.
My template is 3/4/4/0 Doc, Master Fencer and 4/0/0/0 TKA and so far Night sister protectors are my limit 50k HAM. The 30k Weavers are easy, but the protectors go head hunting bigtime. To take protectors I need entertainer buffs.
Also if you are not using mind food and drugs you are short changing yourself. Even as a bothan wearing full composite I can get my mind cost down to 3 per OneHit3 using a gaffi stick. With 3250 mind with buffs, food, and drugs and close to the same in Health and Action you are very hard to take out.
Also I have to agree a TKA, I use to have TKM, is better then a Fencer, but a Fencer with the med line in TKA will beat a TKM.
Little hint for any other fencer/doc out there if you didnt already know if you are KD/dizzy, spam your stand while using your dizzy pack, if you get the stand graphics you have a good chance of using the pack and curing the dizzy.
Right now I can solo any mobs EXCEPT Dark Jedi Knight, Dark Jedi Master, Nightsister Protectors, NIghtsister Elder, the named nightsister(430kHAM), Giant Dune Kimogila and other things that have 50kHAM and above.
What I mean by solo is to win without dying/ incapped and without other damage sources helping meand yes, I have to use food/drink buffs and doc buffs.

I disagree, with buffs a TKA can last just as long as any other profession. The key is to keep mind use down as low as possible because it can not be healed easily.
I already had TKM, and droped it to finish up fencing because it fit my template and gave me just a tad bit more in the end then TKM, but in no way do I think TKA is a bad profession.

The TK has received many twinks in the passed 2 months, most of which prolongs the life of the take considerably.
the orginal intent was for the TK to be a 30 second warrior. extremly hard hitting faster dynamic fighter, that would just blow your socks off.
but would spend so much ham that they had to either pace themselfs, or just fight and die in a short amount of time.
This orginal intent has to some degree been lost, and i see even the TK corespondant is asking to be a low damage high defense tank with stat effects.
now that is what i see a fencer being, but not a tk, i dont know how to put it exactly, I think it would almost be offensive in a very extreme way to lable the tk as anything other then dynamic.
I remember doing KD2 and costing me 800 HAM with VKs equipted.

the thing about a TKM's hits are that it only takes one or two to equal five or six of ours!
personally i think everything is pretty alright. i've been taken down by TKMs and even other Fencers (who don't have as high an accuracy).
