Yeah this is getting ridicules, the Ebays need to just shut up, and learn to play there profession or take it in PvP. Last time I checked this game still requires you to use skill and strategy to be better then others. Some jedi feel that grinding 100000 quenkers qualifies them to have a class that eliminates the need for them to think to win.

It doesn't matter what class you are if you don't have any idea how to fight you are going to loose to those who do, that is how it should be. Stop punishing us who have taken the time to learn every aspect of our professions and making it easier for those who never bothered to learn what all their specials do.

Thats the truth best post I have read all day. I cant stand people always trying to stomp on other prof. I say learn how to play and enjoy the game you dont have to be the best because someone will always sneek up and take your butt down. If you want to win like the man said play KOTOR I or II you get to win and be the best jedi in the world.

Too many jedi think they can go toe to toe with anyone and win, no matter what template, weapons or player skill, escape is never an option. My jedi for example, MLS/MD, isthe worse jedi template for running from a fight but I still have a 32m snare and kd, burst run food and I'm off.

I will not see my class nerfed again, and again, without our major, and other classes' major issues being fixed first. I will not suffer anymore setbacks until blind, and bleeds, and state effects mean something. Until advanced lunge is worthy of the master skill box it is presented, I will not rest from fighting these nerf calls wherever they come from, and I hope you all with stand and do the same.

Issues need to be fixed before they are nerfed

The dynamics of the game are changing, and I will not be nerfed because I know how to play my class well, and because certain jedi are too lazy to learn theirs. I want everybody to be fixed and operational before we see any nerfs, and I'm asking everybody else for their support. E-mail SOE, make posts, don't be drawn into flame wars, adamantly oppose any unfair patch notes, use test-center, submit reports, we need to do this. Normals are a minority in this war, and we cannot be walked over again, we need to take a stand.

What post exactly are you referring to.My Jedi was honing his skills with a stun baton long before he picked up a saber. My alt is still a fencer doc. I read all the melee and jedi forums frequently and I've never seen anything to do with fencer nerfing. There's some people that might raise an eyebrow to Swordsman Docs but thats probably because you're not supposed to be taking peopleout in 3 hits any more and it's happening.

Perhaps there will be some tweaking but to other professions. Look at the nerfs they've laid down on Jedi. If you aren't familiar with them I'll post em for you but 6 second healing is one reference.

I agree, if you violently disagree with a change such as the lunge nerf then do what you can to make it known. I was perhaps a bit too vocal aboutthe change to Lunge KDon this board. I simply ask you don't post the fingers at Jedi. I didn't ask for any nerfs.

This is the thread I was referring to.

Might I also remind, you, the doctor heal, Bacta Shot is on a 6 second timer as well. Furthermore, Jedi are able to untilize stims, just like everybody else, and they also have the ability to use force infusion, which is in fact more powerful than the medic's bacta infusion. Jedi heals are not as poor as you make them out to be, I was dueling a Jedi today who had the most amazing heal timing, and I could not do enough damage to finish him. He eventually outlasted my mind (with foods and spices and buffs), and took me down. You cannot simply rely on one force heal skill to get your healing. No doctors only use bacta shot, they alternate between infusion, stims, and stab.

I also, would not like to always point the finger at Jedi, but so much animosity created by many of those characters, it is hard not to. On the otherhand, in the post I cited, many Jedi were quick to defend me, and I appreciate that. I know not all Jedi are nerf callers, its just a very small percentage, that happens to be very loud.

I'll get on it tomow night, I've lived with smugglers havign Jedi cry nerf on them for ages an ages, I know how to deal with Jedi.

The thing is post melee can't stand up aginst Jedi. If I gave my template to some average Joe pvp he'd still lose against a Jedi. I have been told by many melee that they just can't understand why I seem to defeat Jedi without breaking a sweat. To get this skill I've fought Jedi 100s of times. The first few times I lost nearly every time, then I'd win 50% of my fights. Now I can take on 2 Jedi and tank them long enough to get help. I sometimes can even kill them myself if I'm luck with their templates and if they don't work together.

This is not a boost, I know for a fact I win against Jedi through my overall pvp experince, template helps, that why I choose it despite it's need of fixes, but I could go a ranged template and still hold Jedi off to a stand still. I did it for about 3 months after the CU.

I agree Ender, I've been playing a fencer too long to not know the profession inside and out, and I've been PvPing even longer. I was one of the first master smugglers on the Intrepid server, and with low blow, was one of the first to face the nerf bat. After smuggler I switched to a fencer on ahazi, and discovered the usefulness of mastering brawler for Warcry and lunge 2. Of course, due to the 'defense stacking' era I was stunted again by cries, but I've always adapted, and changed, to fit the situation, and I've always come out on top. Now I know my profession all to well to lose against anybody who doesn't know thier's equally. If I fight a swordsman, who is at the same skill level as a player, as me, most likely the duel or fight will end in a draw, and the same goes for most Jedi (if I do not die myself). Just before I logged off today there was a minor Rebel raid in bestine, and I sucessfully tanked two jedi, until the most experienced, and easily one of the best jedi, on Ahazi put me out of my misery. Like you Ender, I'm not saying this to brag, but its an example that while two Jedi didn't know enough about what they were doing to take me down, when one who did came along, I lost, and its not just because of his extra DPS. It could have been any two classes, riflemen, or TKMs, but as long as they weren't working together or even fighting well on their own solo, I could have stood there and fought all day. I don't think I should be able to beat two Jedi, but if they don't know what they're doing, I can't help it.

Many other classes wonder how fencers at all pull things like this off with half of our abilities broken. Not only is bleed worthless, but our two other master skills, Advanced Lunge and Advanced Blind, are broken. There is no point in lunge, and blind has no effect what-so-ever. The fact is, the only reason I'm using fencer is because thats who/what I am. As a swordsman or TKM I guarentee you I would be twice as effective once I learned the profession. You need to understand all the classes in the game to be sucessful, I spent most of my respecs testing out alternative professions, learning thier abilities and weaknesses, and now I use that against them.

The fact is Ender, our build, our template, and every piece of equipment from the AB sliced armor to the damage slices Blade of Nyenthi'oris screams "Jedi Killing Template", and its obvious because I'd say I have a far harder time killing Rifleman/CMs, or TKM/Docs than I do Jedi. But I know Jedi that can absolutely destroy those classes, and the Jedi, in turn, are able to be killed by me. I made a choice to be the best 'jedi fighter' I could be, and I sacrificed some effectiveness against many other classes to be better at it.

T
here are quite a few jedi in that post whining about melee. Of course not all jedi are like that, but the ones that are, are the loudest, and always seem to get what they want.
