tis true... 210 dodge- with CoB the only people that can hit me that much are TKMs (stupid god accruacy), 4 stacking health bleeds- its just evil, and if you are fighting as fencer and someone tries to kite you... just put out pistol and blow them away.Im still only 3004 in pistol and i own... a lot (with master fencer). I also have 3004 in tka (soon to be 4004) for the nice defences and meditate. i love it... oh well just thought i would inform... (dont mind my "sig"... its kinda outta date... :/)
I wan't this dodge thing nerfed so badly.... Rawr.
why nerf??
Carbine/Swordsman
Rifleman/Polearm
those 4 get the same benefit's
anything with TKA gets the benefit of healing and also adds to defenses
Commando's have enough to get TKA skills if they want to utilize their limited points to the fullest of their abilities.
Alot of people are saying man they need to nerf this or nerf that. What really needs to be done is some edjumacating on those that want to actually do PVP, and limit themselves by not thinking about how to BEST go about it.
Nerf them to.

what i would like to see is a nerf to CH
no creature big or small is going to take abuse like the CH's put them through, i mean cmon your making your pet a killing beast, what should happen is when you pull out your pet, you have to spend like i dont know 5 minutes to make sure you can control it, and theres a chance that the creature could start attacking the owner...mwahahaha ( just like that lion that ate one of the sigfried and roy guys )
i agree that it's a good thing for people to compliment their professions with other professions that have similiar skills. however, when fencer/pistoleer, swordsman/carbineer, and polearm/rifleman will ALWAYS win compared to a person who does other stacking professions, this contradicts individualism.
i am going to try doing another combo with master fencer than fencer/pistoleer. however, if i absolutely cannot win duels against fencer/pistoleers, swordsman/carbineers, and polearm/riflemen, then i will feel forced to go fencer/pistoleer (as i think PvP is thebest aspect of the game).
well....lets look at it this way.
Individualism is great. Style over Substance is what I say. But to say "hey you kick my butt because you trained to be a better warrior than I, you cant do that" is just wrong.
If i decided to go Master Fencer/Novice This/Novice That/Novice this other thing great!! It means I am more versatile in more things, and can be of more use to myself as a solo class then so be it. That was my point to do.
If i decided to fight someone who decided that my ideals arent they'res and they decided the best thing for a killing style set of professions was to go carbiner/swordsman to better allow them to utilize what they were intending to do in the first place (kill other people) so be it, GREAT! I would get my butt kicked maybe, maybe with my other skills I would win over...that would still be the same thing.
Its all about how you power play your character, and how underplay them as well.
Cookie Cutter classes of the duel defenses or Cookie Cutter classes of the Master on and Novice everything else. It all works out, you just have to find what you can and cant do and move with it.
I just read that the damage mitigation being put into the next patch stacks(in a way) as well. So a master pistoleer/master fencer would have max of BOTH mitigations active all the time.
If they don't nerf the combo before then, they sure will after that. Not only will they be impossible to hit, but if you do manage to hit them, you only do a fraction of the normal damage, melee or ranged.
As we are currently discussing on the Pistoleer forum --
-- Bleeds ignore Dodge
-- Scatter hits (like those in the left column of the Fencer tree) at least partly ignore Dodge
-- Flame cone ignores Dodge
-- Combat Medic AOE stuff ignores Dodge (I do not know whether their single target attacks do so as well)
Of course Warcry, Intimidate, and any other non-damage type state attack ignores Dodge, too.
Plus there is still the time between CoBs.
I know from personal experience that at least some monsters can get regular attacks through +195 Dodge and CoB; perhaps they will still do so at +210.
With all this, might a player be better off stacking as much ranged and melee defense as they can get by dabbling the +defense in >2 professions, rather than mastering these two?
the only thing is:
fencer/pistoleer target the same pool, have the highest defense mod (dodge/block/counter) when stacked, have uber state defenses
neither swordsman/carbineer or pikeman/rifleman have any of that. So this needs to be balanced out. Either bring pistol/fencer down to the others or raise the others up to their lvl.
