Thread: What separates you from the other brawler profs?

I am looking to try another brawler profession other than TKA and I am wondering what you fencers would say separates you from Swordsman and Pikeman, and what you like about the profession that you feel makes fencing a better skill to have. Appreciate any feedback!

the attacks just look plain cool - and we have very good defense mods.

we also swing a rusty bar and a butter-knife of doom as one post states....all i can say besides this is its one hell of a profession. commando was cool as was tka but nothing beats being a fencer (oh one more thing our title "BLADEMASTER")

I still say the tights and hat are our main selling point.
And Touche'! is a very catchy word.

What kinda stuff can you Solo?
Assuming a Full Buff & Good Composite armour?
Nightsister Stalkers? Spellweavers?
I'm looking to switch proffessions from Heavy Sword.I'm keeping Master Doctor so Fencer is one of my possible choices.

If you wanna solo night sisters as a Fencer you'd better be buffed and doped up on spice/chef liquor unless you're a high level CH in addition to Fencer. We just can't take medium armor high HAM critters down anywhere near as fast as a Heavy Swordsman. In any event, if soloing high end content is your thing you've already chosen what is arguably the best brawler derived class for the Job.

No, he's saying it is best for those high-level medium armor boss-mobs.

Fencer makes a perfect buddy for tkm, look at my sig, odossk has not been kd or posture changed since finishing the profile, and tanked all the way to the end of the geonosian cave (with 80% kinetic composite armor), need I say more about the defense mods? Also the stun baton can come in handy on things with nasty kinetic armor but stun vuln or low stun res at least.
Edit: About the what can you solo question, I could solo the enhanced kwis from the geonosian cave 1v1 though I'll admit it was one heck of a fight, the hardest npc I soloed so far was a nightsister stalker. (Both were without doc buffs)

If you don't want to solo the high end bosses like the nightsister queen, krayts, ect, fencer is amazing. I loved it. I'm going back to it. But I wanted a change, and when my group went to the Geonosis caves, I wanted itto be worth the trip. Fighting a medium armored 60% kinetic resist, 30% stun resist creature is NOT fun. Fighting 5 of them is pure hell.
But, if you want to solo 2 enraged rancors at once, or even 2 nightsister rancors, or be effective at PVP, or just have FUN, then go fencer. I'm going to master pikeman, I'm going to master swordsman, and I'm completely avoiding TKA (it was my 2nd holo & was promptly thrown out the window). I have a feeling though, I'm going to go back to fencing when all is said & done. Hopefully by then, we have better weapons. Our weapons suck slightly less than just having knucklers, but you get all that damage added to yours. Tradeoff is pretty much even if you ask me.

OH, and I must say, pikeman specials look just as cool as fencer specials.
