Thread: Fencers best use of Acklay Bones?

Im a master fencer on tempest and would like your advise on THE best weapon i could have made for me using Acklay bones, ive read that only a stun baton can be made? but ive read elsewhere that gad sticks can also be made. Thanks

Stuns and Gaffis are both doable. If you have pre nerf Acklay you would be insane to make anything other than a Stun baton. I hear post nerf Ackaly is slightly more than useless.

the bones i got are 91min 150 max, does that mean they are pre nerf? i looted them last night.

I would assume that they are post nerf bones. If you looted them last night.

I got one made out of Ackley Bones and had Krea (well known WS on Sunrunner) make them. They turned out being horrible. I think he either kept them or used horrible materials cause he didnt like me

Ive seen post nerf Acklay stun batons and they are still twice as damaging as a regular stun baton, so I would hardly say they are useless. Its a shame they didnt give us something inbetween that doesnt require such a rare and heavily camped drop. Personally I would use it in a stun baton as we dont have any stun layered armour on my server yet.

I made a Gaffi with mine, the stats turned out very odd because the stats on the bone were 313 minimum, 122 maximum. Go figure.

You get them from a creature called Acklay in the genosian lab. Remember Attack of the clones where the big praying mantis looking creature was gonna kill Obiwan in the arena? That is an acklay.

Ahh I didn't know that post nerf Acklay bone could still have a max damagemod as high as 150, all I hear about is people looting 65-65 damage bone. I retract my statement about the new Acklay being useless.

65 more damage is FAR from useless...

How difficult is the Acklay to kill, and how many of them are there in the dungeon? Can a solo buffed Master Fencer expect to kill one...and could such a person reasonably expect to find one to kill when entering the dungeon?
